Welcome to this 10-minute awareness-based meditation that I hope will help you in any area of your life that you need it.
This practice is particularly helpful if you're suffering with stress and anxiety,
You want to be more aware and present in your life,
Or you want to turn up to your work in a new and more meaningful way,
Or that you want to be more present and alive within your loving and relationships.
This is a very simple and beautiful practice.
So I invite you to see if you can allow yourself just to be here in this moment without trying to force yourself from within.
A lovely way to do this is to allow your body to occupy the space that you're in at the moment.
So perhaps feeling your feet against the floor,
Feeling the space of the room around you,
Feeling your clothes against your skin,
Knowing if you're caught up in your mind or your emotions,
And not trying to change that,
But just seeing things the way they are in this moment,
And allowing your heart to exist,
Allowing yourself to be here.
This meditation just simply moves through the senses and we notice how by meeting our senses,
We are led back into deeper consciousness that gives us a sense of wholeness and being.
So I want to invite you just to tune in to the sounds that you can hear around you right now.
Obviously,
You can hear the sound of my voice,
And there are the other sounds that you can hear.
Can you allow the sounds to simply be there without getting caught up in naming or labeling,
Not pulling in the other direction,
But just allowing the sounds in the same way that you have just allowed your own body,
Allowed your own heart,
Allowed yourself in this moment.
Allowing yourself to also notice that you can hear the spaces between my words,
That you can hear the spaces between the sounds,
And that you can hear the spaces and the sounds equally,
Directly at the same time.
Notice where in you experiences this awareness of sound,
Allowing yourself to be here.
I want to invite you just to reconnect with that feeling of touch of your clothes against your skin and the ground beneath your feet,
And the space of the room around you that we began with.
And in the same way,
Can you meet it without naming or labeling,
Just allowing that sensation to simply be,
And following it inwards,
You feel where that awareness lands in you,
Where it is centered.
And perhaps as you do this,
You get a sense of your body's aliveness.
Be aware of what you are seeing,
The light coming in to your eyes,
The objects in front of you,
And notice the spaces between them,
Objects and spaces,
And not labeling,
But not ignoring or being detached.
And perhaps as you do this,
You get a sense of your body's aliveness,
And not labeling,
But not ignoring or being detached.
Perhaps that clarifying feeling of presence becoming more prominent within you,
More aware.
And you're aware of the sense and the air in your nostrils.
Meeting where this awareness lands within you.
And there's the taste in your mouth.
This too just met a sensation.
And of course,
You're aware of your mind.
And so I'd invite you to allow your mind to be felt as an energetic field.
Just the energy of your mind,
And the spaces in that energy,
And the place that you are witnessing your mind from.
The same place of awareness.
The energetic field of your emotions.
The spaces in your emotions.
The wholeness of all of this experiencing.
Senses,
Mind,
Emotion,
The world around you.
A little more sense of being present,
Of being with the one that you're with,
Or in the place that you are.
Allowing your heart,
Allowing yourself.
And noticing that this state of clearer,
More dignified,
Wholeness and being,
Is not created.
It's just you,
Beautiful you.
Not the ego,
Not an idea of ourselves,
Just you in your wholeness as life.
Let's just take a moment now and rest in this sense of wholeness.
And because we're just a bit more here and now,
There's no need to draw this practice to a close.
But we'll end this meditation now.
And I just want to say thank you to you,
With gratitude from my heart for you turning up in your life this day.
Thank you.
