Welcome to this guided meditation on releasing tension from your day.
My name is Joy,
And I will be guiding you in today's meditation.
To begin,
Take a seat or lay down,
Get comfortable,
And then close your eyes.
To calm your body and mind.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold for three seconds at the top.
And then exhale out in a large sigh.
Continue these deep breaths for one minute.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
Move your body around.
Slowly rolling your neck.
Shoulders.
Maybe twisting back and forth.
Just take a quick moment to mindfully move your body.
Sit comfortably now.
Picture waves before you.
These waves are soft and slow.
Welcoming and inviting.
These waves are a refining water.
When you are ready,
Step into the ocean waves.
Let them move over you and wash away the energetic residue of your day.
Stay in the water until you feel your body and mind are clear.
Step out of the water now.
Observe yourself.
How do you feel?
If any lingering tension or stress is present.
Go back into the water and consciously release it.
Give gratitude for all that has happened here.
Bring your awareness back to your body.
Slowly begin to move and open your eyes.
