Welcome to this guided meditation on embracing the liminal while traveling.
My name is Joy,
And I will be guiding you in today's meditation.
To begin,
Get comfortable,
Then close your eyes or let your eyes glaze and relax.
To calm our body and mind.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold for three seconds at the top.
And then exhale out in a large sigh.
Continue these deep breaths for one minute.
Let your breathing return to normal now.
When we travel,
We are in a liminal space.
Not where we started.
And not at our destination.
This can feel uncomfortable to some.
It is also a beautiful moment to reflect and be present.
Look around you.
Take your surroundings in.
Maybe you're on a train,
Or in an airplane,
Or simply walking in a neighborhood.
Feel into what it means to be here in this liminal space,
In this moment.
Let your thoughts about where you were before and where you are going fade.
If they come into your mind,
Let them float away like a crown.
As we feel into this present moment.
Name what you are experiencing.
Do you feel light?
Do you feel anxious?
Let your body tell you how your nervous system is responding.
There is no judgment,
Just observation.
Feel into the energy of simply being alive in this moment.
To be exactly where you are in this liminal space.
How you exist,
How you move in the world and reality,
The vastness and beauty of it all.
Let it swirl around you and through you.
Give gratitude for all that has happened here.
You bringing your awareness back to your body.
Slowly begin to move and open your eyes.
Thank you for joining me today in this guided meditation.
Blessed Be.
