Musical Meditation - Systemic Family Healing

Welcome to a new experience; the result of two passions of mine (music + meditation), Musical Meditation. I invite you to drop all preconceptions and join me in this new way of connecting to and healing our family line. We're intertwined with those who came before us in many ways, including emotions, behaviors, beliefs, and actions... join me in exploring that connection and, through healing ourselves, finding peace within our family line.

Transcript

I invite you to sit with your spine erect and to close your eyes.

Slowly inhale and exhale deeply.

As you inhale and exhale focus on the sensations inside yourself.

Observe your heartbeat.

Sense what is happening inside your physical body.

Now open your mind.

Keep it receptive.

As you watch your thoughts come and go.

Connect with that inner dimension.

Visualize your spine as a bright column filled with light.

Your spine is your connection between the earth and the sky.

From the center of your head a beam of light connects you to the sky.

From your root chakra the same beam of light connects you to the center of the earth.

We are all bridges connecting the earth and the sky.

Your deep spiritual nature is what inhabits your physical body.

I invite you to visualize behind you your parents,

Your grandparents,

Great grandparents.

Visualize your entire family system until the very origin of everyone who preceded you.

You are a unique combination of your mother and your father's family system.

I invite you to draw an invisible string of love connecting all your ancestors to you.

Imagine that through this connection all healing is taking place.

As you heal yourself you heal your entire family line.

Like a tree we gather our nutrition and strength through our roots.

Now if possible imagine that you are connected and receiving love and support from your ancestors through that connection.

I invite you to say yes to who you are,

Your origin,

To acknowledge the bright and the dark,

The light and the shadows of who you are.

I invite you to say yes to your intelligence,

To your talents,

To your abilities,

To your contribution to the world and to your ability to love.

You embrace yourself wholly,

Acknowledging the positives and negatives of your unique personality.

You look at yourself with love and generosity and realize that you are the gift resulting from the union of this two family system.

Found by people that just like you had talents,

Made mistakes,

Had dreams,

Had hopes.

Through a systemic perspective we understand that we are never alone.

Just like you all your ancestors were pursuing happiness.

People were and are likely trying to do their best wherever they may be.

Now if possible I'd like you to hold that intention in your heart to heal your family line.

I'll leave you with that intention and come back to tell you when time has ended.
