Journey through the seven chakras.

Gently close the eyes,

Let the eyelids feel heavy.

Tune into the breath and observe the rhythm of the inhale and exhale.

Feel the breath naturally slow down as you bring your awareness to it.

Notice how the breath softens.

Let it become long and luxurious.

Smooth luxurious inhalation,

Smooth luxurious exhalation.

Feel the mind slowing down and the thoughts slowing down.

Let the breath become fuller and deeper.

Let it flow through the whole body from the top of your head down to your toes.

Let the whole body relax.

Fill yourself with each exhalation starting to let go deeper and deeper.

With each exhale letting go of stress and tension.

With each inhale become more present.

Feel the fullness of your breath.

Feel the graceful movement and rhythm of the breath as it moves in and out of the body.

With each breath feel yourself becoming more centered,

More connected,

More in tune with your breath.

Place the hands in Chin Mudra,

The seal of consciousness.

Let the thumb and index finger pads join and let the other three fingers be extended and relaxed.

Feel the connection and flow of prana from your fingertips balancing the flow of prana through the whole body.

Rest the hands on the lap with the palms facing down to create rootedness.

Chin Mudra enhances focus and concentration.

It sharpens the intellect and lifts depression.

Keep the hands in this mudra during this meditation.

Bring your awareness now to Muladhara chakra,

The root chakra.

This energy center is activated by Trik marama at the tailbone.

Visualize a beautiful red light shining here at the root.

You can visualize a small red ball of light two to three inches wide at the Muladhara chakra in the pelvic area.

See that red ball of light opening up into a red lotus flower with four radiant red petals that are slowly unfolding.

Feel the beauty of that space.

This is what roots you,

Connects you,

Grounds you,

Gives you stability and support.

Keep visualizing the red lotus with four petals.

Start to mentally repeat the bija mantra or seed sound which is lam.

Mentally repeat with each breath.

Lam lam lam.

Now move that awareness upwards from Muladhara chakra coming to the second chakra,

Isvadhisthana.

It is located right behind the navel.

This energy center is activated by Nabhi marama at the navel.

Visualize here an orange ball of light purifying that center.

This is your center of creativity or procreation.

Visualize that orange ball of light also opening up into a beautiful orange lotus with six brilliant colored orange petals that are slowly unfolding.

See that orange light growing more brilliant and beautiful.

As you visualize this orange lotus repeat the bija mantra vam,

Vam,

Vam with each breath.

Move up to the solar plexus,

Manipura chakra,

Which is slightly above the navel.

This energy center is activated by Surya marama above the navel.

Visualize a beautiful yellow ball of light here at Manipura.

Feel like that yellow ball of light has all the radiance of the Sun.

See that yellow ball of light opening up into a beautiful yellow petaled lotus with ten luminous yellow petals unfolding slowly.

Manipura is connected to your drive,

Ambition and ego.

It is the way you manifest your energy into the external world.

This is the city of gems so feel that radiance and splendor of Manipura.

As you keep focusing the awareness here,

Continue to visualize the yellow lotus.

Repeat the bija mantra which is a ram,

Ram,

Ram.

Moving upwards now to the heart chakra,

Anahata chakra.

This energy center is activated by Hridayam marama,

Which means heart.

It is located at the center of the chest.

Visualize a beautiful ball of green emerald colored light shining at the heart center,

The center of the chest.

Anahata is the link between the lower three chakras and the upper three chakras.

It is the bridge between the lower self and the higher self.

This is the turning point where you begin to experience love and compassion as you connect to the heart.

So at Anahata chakra,

Visualize this beautiful ball of brilliant emerald green colored light opening up into a green petaled lotus with 12 luminous green petals.

Feel the heart flowering as this lotus opens up.

Keep imagining this green lotus as you repeat the bija mantra at the heart chakra.

Yum,

Yum,

Yum.

Now place the hands in jnana mudra,

The seal of wisdom.

This is similar to chin mudra except the palms are facing up.

Let the thumb and index finger pads join.

Let the other three fingers be extended and relaxed.

Rest the hands on the lap with the palms facing up to create lightness.

Nyanamudra calms the mind and brightens the spirit.

Keep the hands in this mudra during this meditation.

From the heart chakra,

Move upwards to the throat to vishuddha chakra.

Visualize a beautiful blue ball of light here at the throat chakra.

This energy center is activated by kanta and kantanadi marma at the throat.

Kanta is above the Adam's apple and kantanadi is between the collarbones.

It gives the ability to express your heart's desire to communicate with the external world.

This chakra allows you to be able to express yourself at the deepest level.

Visualize that blue ball of light at vishuddha chakra open up into a blue petaled lotus with 16 radiant blue petals.

Keep imagining this blue lotus and repeat the bija mantra of the throat chakra is hum hum hum.

Move up from the throat coming to the third eye,

Ajna chakra.

This energy center is activated by ajna marma on the forehead.

At ajna,

Visualize a beautiful ball of purple light.

See a radiant purple light here awakening the third eye,

Awakening intuition,

Insight,

Intelligence.

See that brilliant purple light also opening into a purple colored lotus with two luminous petals.

Focus here at the third eye.

Keep visualizing the purple lotus and repeat the bija mantra which is sham sham sham.

Move the awareness from the third eye to the crown chakra sahasrar.

This is where mrithni marma is located.

This is the center that connects with the higher self,

Connects with the divine.

Visualize a beautiful white ball of light here at the crown chakra.

See that beautiful brilliant white ball of light opening up into a thousand petaled lotus.

See the brilliance and splendor of that white lotus at this chakra while mentally repeating om om om.

Now observe each of those seven chakras filled with the light of the rainbow from muladhara with that red light,

Svadhisthana the orange light,

Manipura the yellow light,

Anahata the green light,

Vishuddha the blue light,

Ajna the purple light and the crown chakra with the white light.

See the red light at the root chakra,

Orange light below the navel,

Yellow light at the solar plexus,

Green light at the heart,

Blue light at the throat,

Purple light at the third eye and white light at the crown.

See this beautiful rainbow light within you filling your whole being.

Let the rainbow light grow brighter and brighter.

See the splendor and beauty of who you are.

Each color represents a different aspect of your magnificent being.

Allow yourself to just take in that beauty and see that light radiating within you and also radiating out of you.

Feel your beauty and light will touch all the people that you meet and connect with.

Observe this unlimited beauty and light within you.

Rainbow light cascading through all your energy centers.

Let go now of the visualization.

Bring the awareness back to the breath flowing freely through the whole body.

Observe how you feel after this practice.

Do you feel radiant?

Carry this energy of radiance within you throughout the day.

When you feel ready,

Slowly open the eyes transitioning back into the external world.
