Transcript

Om is the cosmic sound from which all creation sprung forth.

Chanting om has a powerful healing vibration that has the ability to calm the mind and nervous system,

Balance pranic flow and induce deep relaxation.

The rhythm of om chanting prepares one for meditation and yoga practice.

Chant om three times at the beginning of a practice.

You can also chant it at the end of a practice.

Take a deep inhalation and chant on the exhalation.

Depending on the depth of your breath,

This will affect how long you can chant.

Let the sound be gentle yet powerful.

Begin by feeling the A sound originating in the abdomen,

The U sound rising up through the diaphragm,

Chest and throat and the M sound vibrating in the head and brain.

Let the M sound be the longest.

The chant should be a quarter part A,

A quarter part U and a half part M.

Feel the power of chanting this with a group of people where the vibration becomes even more powerful.

Let's chant om three times.

Om Om Om Now allow yourself to absorb the vibration of the chant.

Feel the sound om vibrating within your physical body,

Your energy body,

Your mental body.

Feel the purifying effect of that sound.

Om shanti shanti shanti.
