And now mama settling into a posture where you can rest.
Sitting if you wish or perhaps laying down.
To let a bed or the ground and Mother Earth hold you.
Let's begin by taking a couple deeper breaths into the lungs.
And hold at the top just for a couple seconds and then slowly exhale out of your mouth.
And again,
Deep breath in.
Hold and then slowly release out your mouth.
Allowing any tension in the shoulders and the face to drop.
To release.
As you let go,
As you give yourself permission now to be held.
To take rest.
Allow yourself to breathe naturally now.
As you arrive here gently.
Without needing to review or evaluate the day.
Instead,
See if you can invite in a soft gratitude for the parts inside you.
Maybe you noticed the parts that worked very hard today.
The planner.
Task manager,
The protector who stayed alert.
The part that held everything together,
Even when you were tired.
Maybe there was a part that tried to keep you safe today.
It stepped in quickly.
Maybe a part that carried worries,
Responsibility.
Just gently whisper,
Thank you.
I see how hard you're trying.
And if any critical part shows up,
Perhaps with judgment or tension,
You can acknowledge it too.
You might let it know.
I hear you.
You don't have to work so hard right now.
See if it's willing to soften even just a little as you settle towards rest.
You may notice tender younger parts that long for comfort.
The ones who feel the weight of motherhood.
The ones who try so deeply to get it right.
Let them know you're with them and they're not alone.
Now gently,
If it resonates,
Offer this truth inside.
You were not supposed to be perfect to be a good mom.
If you can let that land.
See if you might offer some care,
Compassion to the parts of you.
That might be believing that they have to work harder,
Perform more,
Or get everything right.
Let those parts feel your warmth.
Your presence right now.
Your acceptance.
As your breath slows.
Imagine all your parts gently settling.
Seeing if they're giving you some space.
See how they receive that.
Awareness of your presence,
Of your care.
Allow your whole body to soften as you let go.
Giving all your parts permission to rest,
To just be.
You might imagine a warm,
Golden light in and around you,
Starting from your heart space and expanding out.
Enveloping you.
Holding you.
Allowing all your parts to rest in the knowledge that all is well.
Not necessarily easy.
That you deserve to be cared for too.
Allow yourself to receive this now with each gentle breath.
Permission to just be rest and to be as you are.
Allow yourself to be held this moment.
By the chair,
The bed,
By the earth.
Supported and loved.
And just rest now,
Mama,
In the knowledge that you are enough.
That you deserve to be.
And to receive.
The love and the care that you give every day to others.
Just rest in receiving that.
