Welcome to this guided meditation.
Find a comfortable position where you can fully relax.
Allow your body to settle naturally without needing to hold tension or brace yourself in any way.
You can gently close your eyes if that feels comfortable or simply soften your gaze.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And exhale gently.
Again,
Breathing in calm.
And breathing out tension.
Let your breath rise and fall naturally.
Letting your shoulders soften just a little more.
There is nowhere else you need to be right now.
Nothing you need to fix.
Nothing you need to prove.
Just this moment.
Begin by noticing the places in your body that may carry tension.
Perhaps your jaw.
Your neck.
Your chest.
Your stomach.
Without trying to change anything,
Simply notice.
And as you breathe,
Imagine creating a little more space around those places.
Maybe a little softness.
Or even a little compassion.
So often you move through life carrying invisible pressure.
Maybe pressure to do more,
To be more,
To get everything right.
And maybe somewhere along the way,
You learned to speak to yourself more harshly than you would ever speak to someone you love.
This moment is an invitation to pause that pattern.
Not by forcing positivity,
Not by pretending that everything is perfect.
But by allowing yourself to become a little gentler with your own heart.
Imagine now that you are sitting beside a younger version of yourself.
Maybe a child version of you or simply a version of you who was struggling and trying their best.
Notice your face.
Your energy.
Your vulnerability And as you sit beside this younger version of you,
Notice how natural compassion arises.
Instead of criticism for being tired or shame for feeling overwhelmed.
You may offer understanding.
Comfort.
Patience.
Now gently begin to realize that same compassion also belongs to the current version of you.
You are allowed to be imperfect and still worthy of love.
You are allowed to be learning.
And to rest and to grow slowly and to make mistakes.
Take a slow,
Deep breath in.
And as you exhale,
Think to yourself,
May I be kinder to myself today.
Allow the words to settle gently inside of you.
You may not fully believe them yet,
And that's okay.
Kindness towards yourself does not need to arrive all at once.
Sometimes it begins simply by softening the harshness.
Now notice if there's a part of you carrying guilt,
Shame,
Disappointment,
Or self-judgment.
Without pushing it away,
Simply acknowledge it.
Imagine surrounding that part of yourself with warmth and understanding,
Like wrapping a soft blanket around someone who is hurting.
You do not need to earn compassion.
You are already human and that makes you worthy of gentleness and kindness.
Take another breath in,
Breathing in unconditional love.
And exhaling out.
Any self-criticism or judgment.
You are doing the best you can with what you know right now.
And you deserve the same compassion that you give to others.
You can start in this moment.
By speaking to yourself internally with softness and kindness.
You're still worthy,
Even on difficult days.
Notice what it feels like to stop fighting yourself for just a moment.
Notice the possibility that healing may come not from constant self-criticism,
But actually from understanding.
Imagine now a warm light glowing softly in the center of your chest.
And with every inhale,
The light grows warmer and steadier and calmer.
And with every exhale,
It gently melts away layers of harshness,
Pressure,
Self-judgment.
This light is compassion.
It has always existed within you,
Even when you forget it.
Even when life becomes heavy.
Breathe in this warmth and this calm,
Allowing yourself to simply be.
As we begin to close,
Maybe place a hand gently over your heart if that feels comforting to you.
Feel the steady rhythm beneath your hand as your chest rises and falls with every breath.
A reminder that you are alive and still growing and still learning and still deserving of care.
Take another deep breath in.
And gently exhale.
And remind yourself,
I do not have to be perfect to be worthy of love.
I can meet myself with kindness one moment at a time.
When you're ready,
Slowly begin bringing awareness back to the space around you.
And carry this softness with you into the rest of your day or evening.
You deserve your own compassion too.
