Welcome to this guided meditation.

My name is Angela,

And today I will be taking you on a quick journey of grounding.

Before we start,

Go ahead and take off your socks and your shoes,

And let yourself get your feet into a position that's flat on the ground so that you can really get grounded today.

Pulling your attention to the present moment,

Begin with closing your eyes and settling in,

Taking a deep breath in,

And exhaling out.

Notice your feet and how they feel against the surface underneath you.

Wiggle your toes a little bit.

Let yourself get really connected,

Using your feet to ground you for this exercise today.

Now relaxing your toes,

And just notice the sensations in your body as you're pulling all of your attention to your feet as that grounding force.

Do you notice movement,

Tension,

Pain?

Anytime you notice any sensation in your body,

Pull your attention towards your breath all the way down to your feet.

Let yourself get rooted.

Whatever's going on with your day,

Whatever circumstances are happening in your life,

Conversations,

Arguments,

Responsibilities,

Whatever it is,

Pulling your attention back towards your feet as they stay firmly on the ground,

Letting the surface underneath you hold you up,

Whether it's cold,

Whether it's soft.

Just notice the sensations against your skin,

Feeling yourself held up by the surface underneath you.

For this moment,

You'll allow yourself to hold on to this very experience,

Imprinting this very memory of your feet,

Of your breath,

Of this feeling of being held up,

Strong,

Firm,

Allowing yourself to have this in your repertoire as you're learning.

To have this in your repertoire that every time you feel overwhelmed,

You feel lost,

You feel confused,

Anxious.

Visit this memory right here to ground you for the moment as we close this meditation,

Pulling your attention back to your breath,

Exhaling out.

Thank you for listening.

Thank you.
