Gratitude and abundance lead to hope and joy and distance ourselves further from sadness and emptiness. As we go through our day, we may take things for granted or not notice what we have, but rather focus on what we don't have or compare ourselves to others. **This meditation is intended to be a stress reliever and is not a replacement for therapy. Please consult your therapist prior to listening if you are easily triggered, or have a history of trauma, grief, or mental health issues.

Welcome to this guided meditation.

My name is Angela and today I will be walking you through a quick visit towards gratitude.

Beginning with our breath,

Closing your eyes and settling into the present moment.

Breathing in relaxation and exhaling tension.

Let's pull our attention towards that experience of gratitude and allow yourself to notice what happens in your body as you're taking in that feeling of gratitude.

What are you grateful for in this moment?

Think about what you are grateful for.

Let yourself take in the gifts of those around you,

The experiences in your life.

This moment right here that you've given yourself to slow down and check in.

Give attention to what you have gratitude for in your life.

Letting yourself open up that space in your heart,

In your mind,

Taking in the abundance of love,

Kindness,

Support,

Choices,

Whatever it is that you're grateful for.

Take a moment to name it.

If you think about where you were at this time last year,

Visit that for a moment and identify what are you grateful for at this time that you didn't have or that was different than last year.

Who are you grateful for?

And pulling your attention back to your breath,

Breathing in gratitude and exhaling tension.

Pulling your attention back towards your breath and exhaling out.

Thank you for listening.
