Taking some time to sit down and make yourself comfortable,
Feet on the floor,
Hands on your lap and closing down the eyes.
The eyes work so hard for us,
It's nice to give them a little relief.
Now taking the hands and rubbing them vigorously together,
Perhaps you can feel heat being generated.
Warming the hands,
Adding energy to the hands.
Bring some heat into the hands,
And when you feel the hands are warm enough,
Lift them and gently cover your eyes.
Feel the warmth entering your eyes,
Feel the muscles around and behind your eyes starting to warm and release and relax.
Good.
Now repeat that process again,
Rubbing the hands together,
Bringing some warmth into the hands.
And as you do so,
Noticing if you have any stuck tension,
Any little nervous feelings within the body.
And now that your hands have generated some warmth,
Place your hands on the area that's holding the nervous energy.
Feel the warmth enter your body,
Feel the connection of your hands,
Allow and imagine the warmth soothing any nervous energy.
Imagine it warming and releasing and relaxing.
Doesn't that feel good?
And you can use this technique at any point,
Day or night,
To relax and release any unnecessary nervous energy.
So taking a gentle stretch now,
A slightly deeper awakening breath in and out and opening the eyes.
