A slow, reflective meditation for collecting the meaningful pieces of your year — the memories, lessons, emotions, and quiet moments that shaped you. Through simple imagery and gentle pauses, you’re guided to choose what to carry forward and what to release, allowing the past to settle and your sense of self to feel whole again. A grounding practice for transitions, clarity, and soft closure. This meditation offers a choice whether to end with eyes open or drift down into sleep.

Welcome.

This is a practice for collecting what's yours.

The parts of the year that shaped you.

The pieces you're ready to bring forward or gently lay down.

So take a moment to arrive.

Close your eyes.

Settle into stillness.

Feel your body being held by the surface beneath you.

And let everything soften just a little.

Let the breath slow without effort.

Allow each out breath to take you deeper within.

To take you deeper into the experience.

Now imagine that you're walking slowly through a quiet space.

A place that feels familiar and peaceful.

This place holds moments from your past year.

Memories,

Lessons,

Emotions,

Realizations.

Each one resting along a path ahead of you.

They appear like glowing orbs.

Gentle points of light in the dimness.

Waiting to be acknowledged.

Not judged,

Just noticed.

You reach for one of the orbs.

It comes easily into your hands.

Perhaps it holds grief.

Or growth.

Or joy.

Or something in between.

One of those complex moments that's never just one thing.

You don't need to change it.

Just hold it and say quietly,

Thank you.

Now you choose what to do with it.

Place it gently in a small satchel.

Resting on your shoulder.

A place for things that you want to carry forward.

Or set it down beside the path if you're ready to leave it behind.

There is no right choice.

Only your choice.

Keep walking at your own pace.

More orbs appear as you move forward.

Some bright.

Some faint.

Some carrying a whole chapter in a single glow.

Pick up the ones that call to you.

Hold them.

Thank them.

And decide where they belong.

With you.

Or released.

Let the rest stay behind.

Notice how this gentle gathering changes the way you feel.

You are choosing your own story now.

Piece by piece.

You are not the same person you were before this year began.

This path shaped you.

Even the hard parts.

Especially the hard parts.

Let that truth settle softly inside you.

As you continue along the path.

You begin to see something ahead.

A quiet doorway.

Warm light spilling around its edges.

You don't need to walk through it yet.

Just notice it.

A threshold.

Patient and calm.

This is where the next chapter begins.

When you're ready.

Standing here for a moment.

Feeling the weight of the satchel on your shoulder.

Not heavy.

Just real.

Filled with the pieces of your year you've chosen to keep.

The parts that belong to you.

Take a gentle breath in now.

And let the pieces settle.

As the exhalation flows out.

Feel yourself become whole again.

Not because everything is perfect.

But because you have gathered yourself.

Let the breath slow even more now.

Let the body grow heavier.

Let the mind feel spacious and clear.

The year is behind you.

The doorway is ahead.

And you.

You are here.

Complete.

Collected.

And ready to rest.

And when you're ready.

You can gently end the practice.

Or.

You can drift deeper into stillness.

And sleep.

You're whole again.

Thank you for this Andrew. Lovely and simple yet powerful visitation which has helped me with my end of season and year reviewing, and intention setting for 2026
