Welcome to this morning meditation for energy.
Begin by finding a comfortable seated position with your back straight,
Either on a chair or on a cushion.
Close your eyes and gently take a deeper breath in,
Holding for a few seconds,
And then exhale slowly.
One more,
Slightly deeper breath in,
Holding,
Holding,
And exhaling slowly.
As you continue to breathe a little deeper,
Bring your attention to your body.
Feel the sensation of your feet on the ground,
Your legs supported by the chair or cushion,
And your hands resting on your lap.
Take a few moments now to set an intention for your day,
Something that energises and motivates you.
It could be a word,
A phrase or an image.
Now bring your attention to your breath.
Notice the sensation of the air as it enters and leaves your body.
Take a few deep breaths,
Feeling the energy and vitality that comes with each inhalation.
As you continue to breathe,
Visualise and sense a bright,
Warm light at the centre of your being.
This light represents your energy and vitality,
And as you focus on it,
Feel it growing stronger and brighter with each breath.
As you inhale,
Imagine that you're drawing in fresh,
Vibrant energy from the world around you.
As you exhale,
Imagine that you're releasing any tension or negativity that's been holding you back.
Now visualise this energy spreading throughout your entire body,
From the top of your head right down to the tips of your toes.
Feel it flowing through your veins,
Giving you strength and vitality.
Imagine yourself moving through your day with ease and grace,
Feeling energised and focused.
Take a moment to offer gratitude for this energy and vitality.
Saying to yourself silently and privately,
I am grateful for the energy that sustains me.
I am grateful for the vitality that gives me life.
I am grateful for the energy that gives me strength.
I am grateful for the energy that sustains me.
I am grateful for the vitality that gives me life.
And when you're ready,
Take another deeper breath in.
Exhaling slowly,
Wiggle your fingers and toes,
And slowly open your eyes.
Taking a moment to notice how you feel,
And carrying this feeling of energy and vitality with you as you go about your day.
