Good morning and welcome to this meditation to start your day with positive energy.
Take a moment to settle in,
Find yourself a comfortable position,
And allow your eyes to softly close.
And know that if that's not comfortable for you,
Just gently gaze down at a spot in front of you.
And begin to tune into your breath.
Breathing in slowly through your nose,
And breathing out slowly through your nose.
Focusing your belly,
Expanding with each breath in,
And with each breath out,
Softening into the present moment.
And take one more centering breath here,
Breathing in through your nose,
And this time release your jaw and allow the breath to leave through your open mouth.
And feel your whole body relaxing,
Releasing any tension that you came to this practice with.
From this place of presence,
And this place of ease and greater relaxation in your body,
Begin to tap into the positive energy that is already here with you.
We are always surrounded by energy.
There is a vital life force that exists within us and all around us.
And so attuning your attention to this positive energy,
And you may even imagine it as a soft glow of light through your mind's eye that fills the space all around you.
And allow this warm light of positivity,
Of peacefulness,
Of joy to begin seeping into your body,
Filling you from your toes all the way up to the crown of your head.
And imagine as this warm light seeps into you,
You begin to glow a little brighter.
You begin to sparkle.
Every cell of your body begins to radiate with vitality and with a feeling of ease,
Joy and peace.
This energy is unlimited.
So each time you breathe in,
Allow yourself to take in a little bit more.
Feel it invigorating all parts of you,
And at the same time clearing away any negativity,
Any sluggishness,
Any worry or anxiety,
Becoming a beacon of positive energy.
And then with each exhalation,
Let go of any stress or worry that you have about the day that lies ahead of you.
Breathing out any negativity that weighs you down,
Anything that could hinder you from having a peaceful rest of your day.
Now to amplify this positive energy that we've been tapping into and filling up with,
Bring to mind something that you are grateful for in this moment.
It could be anything,
Big or small,
Like a warm cup of coffee,
Or the sound of birds singing,
Or the love of a friend or a family member.
And as you focus in on this one thing that you are grateful for,
Allow this energy of appreciation to expand within you.
Let your mind lock into this feeling of gratitude,
Let your body register it.
Now as you continue to breathe and bathe in this positive energy,
In this energy of appreciation,
Just imagine the day that lies ahead of you.
And visualize yourself moving into your day with purpose,
With confidence,
With peacefulness.
How do you move throughout your day bringing all of this positive energy with you?
And come back to your breath for a moment,
Drawing in a nice deep breath in through the nose and again if you'd like just relax your jaw,
Maybe sigh out through an open mouth.
And before we wrap up this morning meditation,
Let's set an intention for your day.
How do you want to feel?
What do you want to achieve today?
How do you want to interact with other people?
Let this intention be your guiding light throughout your day.
And then come back to your breath and just take one more deep breath in and out.
And then give a little wiggle to your fingers and maybe a little wiggle to your toes,
Bringing awareness back into your physical body.
And if it feels right,
Maybe let your arms stretch overhead,
Feeling your body awake and energized and filled with positivity.
And if you haven't already,
Allow your eyes to slowly open if they're closed.
And remembering that this sense of peace,
This sense of joy,
This sense of positivity is always within you and it's always available to you through the space around you.
It's just a matter of fine-tuning your attention.
