Perfect to do at the New Year or anytime you are stepping into your next level of expression.

Transcript

Hello and welcome to this guided meditation to meet and embody your future self.

To begin,

You can come into a comfortable position,

Either sitting or lying down.

And if you'd like,

Gently close your eyes.

And take a slow,

Deep breath in through your nose,

And a long exhalation through your mouth.

Again,

Breathe in nice and deeply.

And breathe out completely.

Let your body begin to soften.

Let the day fall away.

And just acknowledge that you chose to be here.

There is nowhere else you need to be right now.

You have chosen this time,

This practice.

So let yourself arrive fully.

And settle in,

Feeling the support beneath you.

The ground,

The floor,

The chair,

Whatever you are sitting on,

Feel that support and allow yourself to arrive even more into your body and into this moment.

Now imagine time beginning to soften.

The past,

The future,

All becoming available right here,

Right now.

Imagine time as fluid,

Not linear,

And something that is expandable.

As we allow time to soften,

Feel yourself entering a safe space to explore,

A safe space for you to receive.

In this space,

Where time is fluid,

Begin to sense a future version of you.

This may be one year from now,

Or it could be five years from now,

Or you can just simply sense into the next level version of you.

This is the version of you who is living the life that you desire today.

Doing the work you're meant to do.

Feeling fulfilled,

Supported,

Expressed in every way.

And know that you do not need to force an image.

You don't need to figure out this version of you mentally.

You can simply invite this future self to appear.

You may see them very clearly,

Or you may just sense their presence or feel their energy.

Allow this future version of you to surprise you.

As you begin connecting with your future self,

Begin to gently notice the details.

What is your future self wearing?

How do they carry themselves?

Notice their posture,

Their energy,

The way that they move and speak and even breathe.

Notice where they are and who they're with.

What are they actually doing?

As you observe this future version of you,

What feels most alive or noticeable?

And know there's no right or wrong here.

You are simply witnessing and most importantly,

You are receiving this future self.

Now without losing your future self,

Bring your attention back to your body.

And notice the connection between you and them.

Ask yourself gently,

How can I begin embodying this version of me now?

What choices today would support their arrival?

What actions will nourish me becoming this version?

This does not need to be anything big.

Often,

It's the subtle things,

The subtle actions,

The subtle habits,

The subtle rituals and behaviors that we begin to embrace.

It can be a simple,

Small shift in your energy,

Your presence,

And how you choose to show up in your day-to-day life.

So just consider,

How could you begin being this version of you today?

How might you dress,

Speak,

Move differently?

And what practices could support this version of you?

And lastly,

Before we close out this session,

As you align with and receive your future self,

Notice if there is any resistance present.

Is there a part of you that feels hesitant,

Afraid or uncertain?

And without judgment,

Just notice what comes up.

And you can even ask yourself,

What's holding me back from stepping into this version of me?

What do I need to release or transform?

If you sense resistance,

Just breathe with it,

Invite it to soften,

Let it begin to loosen,

Let it be met with compassion.

Bring your awareness back to your breath,

Back to your body,

Breathing in and feeling yourself here in the present moment.

Consider what you will bring forward into whatever is next from today's practice.

What's one feeling or one insight or one small step that you will bring with you?

And know that this future self is not separate from you.

They already live and breathe within you,

And they are becoming more embodied with each choice you make.

Take a nice deep breath in through the nose and side out through an open mouth.

If you'd like,

You can give a little wiggle to your fingers and toes and then bring one hand to rest over your heart and one hand to rest over your belly.

Take a moment to offer up a little gratitude to this future version of you that showed up today,

That you were given a chance to connect with.

And if you have time following this practice,

I encourage you to grab your journal and spend a few minutes recording what you experienced.

Get to know this future version of you,

Who you are becoming more and more in each moment.
