Welcome to this special meditation to activate joy as your ultimate life guide.

In this practice,

We're going to let go of our addiction to suffering and hardship so that we can begin to embody more joy within and let it ripple out into all of our life.

So please come into a comfortable seat or if you'd prefer to lie down,

You're welcome to do so.

And if you like closing your eyes,

Go for it,

But you can always keep your eyes gently open as well and just settle in here.

You can begin to tune into your breath and see where you can sense the movement of the breath in your body and then begin to soften a little bit,

Maybe letting go across your face,

Releasing your shoulders,

Relaxing the jaw,

Allowing the belly to become soft and take up a little bit more space.

And maybe you can even sense the belly moving with your inhales and exhales.

And then just let the whole body become a little bit heavier.

Maybe as you breathe out,

Just let the weight of your body fully release down into whatever it is that you're resting upon.

And now that you're a little bit more present with yourself,

I want you to really tune into your own inner landscape.

This inner landscape is made up of sensations,

Feelings and energy.

And I want you to just notice how you're feeling in this moment.

And maybe you can even name how you're feeling.

You're feeling calm or anxious.

You're feeling frustrated or sad.

What do you call this inner experience?

And if you're a visual person,

Maybe with your mind's eye,

There's a color that this feeling state has,

Or maybe an image pops into your mind or a symbol that represents how you're feeling right now.

Whatever you discover in this moment,

Whatever experience you're having on the inside right now,

Can you fully welcome it in?

Can you fully receive it?

Even if it's a little uncomfortable.

The first step to embody more joy within is to come into right relationship with all emotions,

To allow any emotion that arises within you to have its moment of glory so it can be felt,

Experienced,

And then released.

And as we're more able to do this,

Our innate joyful nature begins to emerge.

And we can learn to attune to this vibration of joy,

To listen to it and to begin following its direction in life so that it can guide us upon our soul's journey for being here.

And I don't know about you,

But growing and learning and transforming by following my joy sounds way better than transforming through suffering and struggling,

Fighting and pain.

And this is a pathway for us to choose.

So let's get into the energy clearing part of the practice to help us really receive our joyful nature and to be able to let it guide us through life.

I'll be saying very specific clearing statements to call out the negative energy that can keep us from aligning with our joyful nature.

And you can hear my words as if they're your own,

Or you can repeat the words after me.

So we're going to start here with this first clearing statement.

I clear now my addiction to suffering,

Struggling,

And pain as a means to positive transformation in my life.

So you're going to take a nice deep breath in,

And we're lifting up the negative energy of addiction,

Addiction to suffering,

Struggling,

And pain.

And then I want you to breathe it out through an open mouth and just imagine this energy going right into a garbage can,

Symbolizing to the universe that you want to release this.

You want to let it go.

It may seem very odd,

But many of us are addicted to negativity.

We're addicted to pain.

We're addicted to struggling and fighting and suffering.

And so we're just alleviating a little bit of that with that clearing statement.

So let's move on.

The next statement goes like this.

I clear now my need to pay a price,

To experience hardship,

Or to win a fight before I can be joyful and feel happy within myself and in my life.

So again,

You're going to take a nice deep breath in,

Lifting this negative energy that says you have to pay a price,

You have to experience hardship,

Or you have to fight before you can be joyful and feel happy within yourself and in your life.

Breathe out that negative energy and we will move on.

I clear now my obsession and compulsion with what is wrong with myself,

My life,

And the world,

Which keeps me from being able to embody my truth and my joy and to experience the inherent goodness on the planet and all around me.

So again,

Taking a nice deep breath,

You're lifting up this obsession and compulsion to view only what's wrong,

What's wrong with you,

What's wrong with your life,

And what's wrong with the world,

Instead of allowing the goodness within you and all around you to be at the forefront of your attention.

So breathe out that negative energy.

And our next statement goes like this.

I clear now all of my fear that says,

If I let myself be truly joyful,

It means I accept all of the bad things in my life and the world,

Past,

Present,

And even the future.

And no positive change will ever occur for myself or humanity.

So we're breathing and lifting up all of that fear and really those false beliefs that say,

If you're joyful,

If you're fully in your joy,

It means that you accept all of the bad things taking place,

All of the bad things that have happened to you in the past that are happening maybe in the present that could happen in the future,

You're accepting them all.

That is not true.

Joy is part of your essential nature.

You are worthy of feeling it and you're allowed to feel it even when bad things are happening,

Even if bad things have happened.

All right.

The next energy clearing statement goes like this.

I clear now my habits,

Behaviors,

Trainings,

And patterns of downplaying and oppressing my joyful nature,

Because if I let myself feel,

Embody,

And express my innate joy to the fullest,

I'll be going against the collective norm and I'll end up being punished,

Cast out,

Frowned upon,

Judged,

Canceled,

Or alone as a result.

All right.

So breathe,

Breathe,

Breathe.

You're breathing in,

Drawing up those habits,

Those behaviors,

Trainings,

And patterns of oppressing your own joyful nature out of the fear that if you do feel your joy to the fullest,

You'll be outcast,

You'll be punished,

You'll be judged,

You'll be all alone.

That is not serving you,

So let that negative energy go.

All right.

Here is the next clearing.

I clear now all of my resistance and my refusal to embody my innate joy for me,

For my wellbeing and health,

And for the manifestation of my best life.

So again,

Breathe in,

Drawing up any resistance that you may have to your joy,

Any refusal to embody it for you,

For your own benefit.

Breathe out that negative energy,

Breathe out that resistance.

And we're going to do one more clearing statement.

It goes like this.

I clear now all of my inner judgment of the emotions and expression of joy,

Glee,

Happiness,

Excitement,

Fun,

Playfulness,

Innocence,

And curiosity,

All of which exist on the emotional spectrum of bliss.

I release this judgment now so I can accept all of these emotions and allow them to flow through me with ease and grace frequently.

All right.

So a few breaths,

Drawing up and out any judgment you have of these blissful emotions,

These joyful,

These playful,

These gleeful emotions.

Breathe in and then exhale,

Let go of that judgment.

And you may think,

I don't have judgment around joy.

I love joy.

Surprisingly,

You might have some judgment.

Maybe there was a time in your life where you were extremely joyful and somebody around you wasn't,

And there was a little bit of judgment,

A little bit of guilt for feeling that joy.

And as a result,

You judged yourself.

We want to let that go so that we can feel these emotions without any sense of judging ourselves.

Awesome.

So I want you just to take a couple of breaths to bring yourself back into whole body awareness,

Whole body breathing,

Letting all of that negative energy,

That negative conditioning and programming to release.

And now we're going to activate some positive energy to just fill ourselves up,

To fill in the void spaces where we just released energy from.

Activating positive energy will further awaken and anchor this vibration of joy into our being.

So just like with the clearing,

I'm going to say a very specific statement,

And then we'll use our breath to activate these positive energies.

So the first activation goes like this.

I activate now the natural vibration of joy,

Bliss,

Ecstasy,

Happiness,

And glee within me.

So you're going to breathe in.

And as you breathe in,

It's like you're highlighting these energies that already exist within you.

And then you're and then you're bolding them,

You're emphasizing them.

And as you breathe out,

If there's any residual negative energy that could block these positive emotions within you,

You're just going to breathe that negative energy out.

All right,

We'll do two more activations.

The next one goes like this.

I activate now my ability to embody these high vibrational positive energies and use them to heal my body,

Mind,

And spirit.

So breathe in,

Breathe out.

Every emotion has a charge to it.

And although no emotion is inherently bad,

They do have different benefits or different effects on the body,

Mind,

And spirit.

If we experience anger,

It can be perfectly fine.

It can be a rush of adrenaline that runs through our system and lights us up and motivates us to take action in our lives.

But if we have anger come up and we hold it in for a prolonged period of time,

It can be very inflammatory to our system and it can actually be quite violent on the inside.

Whereas joy and bliss and happiness,

Ecstasy,

These emotions,

These feelings,

We can experience for as long as we'd like and they actually uplift us and they increase our well-being.

They can improve the health of our body as well as the health of our mind.

So embodying these positive emotions can truly be healing for all aspects of self.

All right,

So this is the last activation.

It goes like this.

I activate now my ability to feel joy,

Listen to joy,

And use joy as the ultimate guide in my life.

So again,

You're just going to breathe in and we're activating your innate ability to feel joy,

To listen to it,

And to use it as a guide in your life,

Which means you get to follow your joy.

You get to follow your bliss.

You get to choose happiness.

All right,

So again,

Just come back to your whole body now.

Feel your breath flowing into your whole body and out of your whole body.

And I want you to check in again and notice how you're feeling on the inside.

Has anything changed?

If you saw a color before or an image or a symbol,

Has that changed?

What word would you use to describe your inner state of being?

And then let's ground this experience.

I want you to take your attention down deep into your body until you find the parts of your body that are connected to whatever is beneath you.

And then let yourself reach down into the floor beneath you with your awareness and keep going and let yourself reach all the way down into the earth.

Anchor your joyful nature.

Let it take root right here beneath you in mother earth.

Remember that this energy,

This vibration,

This emotion of joy is healing.

Allow yourself to tap into it.

Allow yourself to feel it,

To embody it,

To express it.

Let it be a gift that ripples out upon the planet.

You can just let your attention flow back up into your body and take one more nice deep breath in through the nose.

If you'd like to sigh it out gently through an open mouth.

If you have time and space,

Maybe take a few minutes to journal about your experience with this practice,

Writing down your thoughts about joy,

About how you embody joy,

About how you are feeling.

Maybe you can write a book about how you embody joy,

About how you express joy,

Or even about what you're feeling.

Maybe you can lean more into that.

This was a wonderful experience! For as long as I can remember I have been in a constant survival mode or fight/flight mode state of mind. When I close my eyes the first colors I see or the images that make my heart swell are the brilliant golden and orange leaves of autumn. It also gives me a feeling of peace to just be me.
