Hello,
Welcome.
Welcome to your guided meditation.
We'll take this meditation from lying down in Shavasana.
As you're ready,
Come down onto the earth.
If you have a pillow or a bolster,
Place it up underneath of your knees.
If you're in a cold climate,
Place a blanket over your body.
Take the next few moments to get yourself prepared.
Take any movements that you may need now.
And when you're ready,
Commit to staying as still as you possibly can,
Lying upon the earth.
Open your legs wider than your hips,
Heels in,
Toes out.
Bring your hands diagonal your armpits,
Palms face up.
As you allow your face to soften,
Close your eyes and begin to feel the earth below you.
As you shift your awareness to the breath,
Inhale,
Feel the breath inside of you.
Exhale,
Empty the breath out and continue this for several rounds.
Begin to notice the quality of your thoughts.
If there's many thoughts coming from all different areas,
Also known as the monkey mind,
Or perhaps there's a repeated thought that's been flowing back to you since we began.
Just witness.
As you allow all of your awareness now to shift to the space between your eyebrows,
Your third eye center.
And as you look through the third eye,
See yourself lying down in a grassy open field.
It's just you.
And as you lie in the grass,
You feel the breeze on your skin,
Hear birds in the distance.
As you look up into the sky,
You notice just how cloudy it is.
There isn't one speck of blue,
Just dark gray as you gaze up.
With the next thought that comes,
Let that thought swipe through the sky like an eraser.
Let it pass through your mind and release any grip to hold on to the thought as you notice the blue sky start to open up.
Another thought rises and the sky becomes a little bit more clear.
Gaze into the blue sky surrounded by clouds.
And for every thought that rises,
Allow it to erase the clouds.
With every thought you release,
You see more and more blue sky.
The mind becoming clearer and clearer with every thought you offer up.
When there are no thoughts,
Gaze into the bright blue sky.
Notice the color blue that you see or any texture that you may give the sky color blue.
Every thought is an offering to clear the sky.
And every thought that you release,
The mind becomes more clear and the blue sky gets brighter and brighter.
Let the light shine through the sky.
Let the light shine through the sky.
Let the light shine through the sky.
As you gaze into the sky,
Notice if there's any clouds left or if now perhaps you lie under a bright blue sky where it's just enough in the afternoon that the sun is a perfect temperature upon your skin.
Not a cloud in the sky,
A reflection of the space in your mind,
The freedom that perhaps now you feel for every thought is just another cloud.
It comes and it goes.
And every thought that you give back is an offering,
An offering to allow the sky to be a mere reflection of the clarity of your mind.
And not that the thoughts have stopped completely,
But rather that you notice them and you offer them up for the warmth of the sun.
It brings you back into your body.
You begin to feel your body lying on the floor,
The cushion or blanket supporting you.
Can you feel a sense of freedom in your mind?
Is there more space within the thoughts?
Choose to lie here as long as you need.
And when you're ready to complete your meditation,
Roll to one side and sit up as you're ready.
I will see you next time.
Namaste.
