Good morning.
Welcome.
Find your way here into a comfortable seated position.
Preferably you sit up onto a bolster,
A cushion,
Or a block.
Elevate your hips higher than your knees in such a way that it allows your hip and knee joints to open with more support.
Align your shoulders directly up and over your hips as you place your hands onto your thighs face up.
Move the elbows back in towards the rib cage relaxed.
As you bring your pointer finger and your thumb together in Gayamudra,
Drop your chin slightly down towards your chest as you lift your chest up towards your chin.
Lengthen and extend from the hips out and up through the crown of your head as you draw your shoulder blades towards your spine to support your heart.
Shift your gaze down towards the tip of your nose and allow your eyes to close.
Settle into your seat and begin to notice how you feel this morning.
Notice your breath,
The physical sensations in your body,
And the sounds that surround you.
What do you hear?
.
.
.
Notice the thoughts that come in and out of your consciousness as you sit.
Sit and simply observe.
Observe your breath,
The feelings in your body,
And the sounds that are outside of you.
.
.
.
As you continue to shift your awareness back into the present moment of right now,
Notice how you feel this morning.
.
.
.
Take the next few moments to reflect on what it is you have to do today.
As you bring to awareness your mind's eye view of what it is you need to get done today,
I invite you to create a mantra for how you want to feel throughout your day.
Set your day in tension.
For example,
I am productive,
Calm,
And healthy.
Depending on your agenda for the day,
Set your own intention for what you want to feel as you navigate through your day.
And say it to yourself in your mind's eye three times.
And then begin to sit and feel the feelings as if they're already here.
The intention that you set for how you want to feel as you move through your day.
Imagine.
Imagine it here and now.
Feeling the feelings that you want to feel today,
Right now.
.
.
.
.
.
.
And notice where your mind shifts and come back.
The feeling,
The feelings you set your day's intention to right now.
And naturally when your mind wanders and shifts away,
You just come back.
.
.
.
Begin to bring your awareness to what you have to do today.
Repeat your intention three times in your mind's eye in the present tense.
And as you move throughout your day,
Repeat your mantra within your mind's eye or out loud.
Anytime you need it,
Call upon your intention for the day.
Continue here to feel,
To observe your breath,
And to notice what you hear for as long as you need.
Have a beautiful day.
Namaste.
