Hi,
Good morning and welcome to this magical morning meditation.
Let us begin by getting into a really comfortable position,
Seated upright with a tall spine and just let your hands rest in your lap or on your knees,
Wherever feels good for you in this moment.
If it feels good for you,
You can softly close your eyes or you can choose to keep them open with a soft gaze down in front of you.
Let all your awareness rest on the breath,
Allow the muscles of the face to soften completely,
Letting go of any expressions that you might be holding without even knowing it,
Consciously relaxing those tiny little muscles around your eyes,
Softening that space between the brows and bringing the awareness to all those little muscles around your mouth and lips and see if you can deliberately relax the mouth and let the lips be soft,
Relaxing your jaw,
Softening the tongue and just let it rest in the base of the mouth.
Now,
Embrace this feeling of your face being completely expressionless,
Now as you inhale,
Stretch the spine a little taller and as you slowly exhale,
Let gravity do its work,
Letting your entire body relax,
Letting it sink deeper down into the earth,
Notice how the belly expands and as you exhale,
Feel the belly and the rib cage gently contracting.
With each breath,
You feel yourself relaxing a little more,
Becoming a little bit more grounded with each exhale,
Now take a deep,
Deliberate breath in through the nose and as you exhale,
Let your shoulders slide back down into the earth and notice how your heart opens up as you relax the shoulders.
Take a moment here to feel your heart space and let your body be filled with loving energy,
If you like,
You can place your hands on your heart space,
The space in the middle of your chest,
Really notice how your heart is beating in your chest,
Can you feel the rhythm of your heart?
As it pumps blood,
Each chamber opening and closing in an effortless way,
Take a moment,
Think about what a miracle life is and how amazing it is that our body functions without us even thinking about it,
It just happens,
With fresh air,
Feeling every muscle,
Every tissue,
Every cell of your beautiful body,
Your body does this for you naturally,
Isn't that a miracle?
Now really take a moment to soak up these sensations of your body being infused with new oxygen,
Feel it radiate through your lungs,
Through your torso,
Your chest,
Your legs and arms,
Your brain and your beautiful face,
Breathing in deeply,
Exhaling fully.
Now as you move through your day to day,
Take this miraculous feeling with you and spread it to those in need,
As we come to the end of this beautiful meditation,
Bring your awareness back to your fingers,
Gently wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale open your eyes if they were closed,
And welcome back to this present moment.
