Transcript

Hello and welcome.

Whether you have read Mel Robbins' book The Let Them Theory or not,

I feel like this following meditation with affirmations will leave you feeling empowered,

Taking full responsibility,

Truly surrendering,

And choosing peace.

So I invite you to close your eyes,

Allow yourself to fully relax.

Relax your shoulders,

Your jaw,

And take in a deep breath.

All the way in,

And as you exhale,

Letting go of anything you might be holding on to.

Fully relax.

Allow us to fully accept that we cannot control other people.

We cannot control what they think of us.

We cannot control their choices,

Their actions,

Or even their priorities.

But the one thing that we can control is ourselves.

If they don't call,

Text,

Or check in,

Let them.

If they don't respond the way that you want them to,

Let them.

If they don't show up for you the way that you truly would want them to,

Let them.

If they judge you or misunderstand you or maybe even gossip about you,

Let them.

If they leave,

Let them.

Take another deep breath in right now,

And as you exhale,

Just release control,

Surrender to what is,

And fully accept this present moment.

Let them,

Let them,

Let them.

As you fully surrender,

Feel your heart space opening.

Feel a wave of peace throughout your body.

Feel freedom,

Freedom to live your life.

Feel free to repeat these affirmations out loud or in your mind.

I release the need to control others,

And I embrace my own path.

I am free to be myself,

And others are free to be themselves.

I let people do what they want,

And I focus on what I need.

Their reactions are not my responsibility.

I trust that letting go creates space for what's meant for me.

I do not chase,

I attract.

I release resentment and allow peace into my life.

I cannot control others,

But I can control how I respond.

I refuse to let other people's opinions dictate my happiness.

I choose freedom over frustration.

I trust myself to make the best decisions for my life.

My worth is not determined by others' approval.

I am strong,

Capable,

And resilient.

I am enough exactly as I am.

I stand firm in my values,

Even when others don't understand.

I am confident in my ability to navigate challenges.

My intuition is a powerful guide,

I trust it.

I don't need permission to be my authentic self.

My happiness is my responsibility.

I believe in myself and my potential.

Every challenge is an opportunity to grow.

I am open to learning and evolving.

I welcome change because it leads to new possibilities.

My past does not define me,

My energy is sacred and I protect it wisely.

Let me focus on what I can control.

Let me choose peace over proving my worth.

Let me walk away from what doesn't serve me.

Let me surround myself with people who lift me up.

Let me stop explaining myself to those committed to misunderstanding me.

Let me believe that what's meant for me will never require me to beg for it.

Let me protect my time,

My energy,

And my heart.

Let me be okay with not being liked by everyone.

Let me give permission to say no without guilt.

Let me embrace the unknown with confidence.

Let me enjoy the present instead of worrying about the past.

Let me celebrate how far I have come.

Wow, that was unexpectedly moving for me. I've had a number of situations recently where people have judged and criticised me, saying unkind and unnecessary things, and this affects me a lot. I feel the Universe is really nudging me right now to learn a deep lesson about not needing others' approval to know that I'm ok, and learning how to stand in my own power and not be so knocked by others' behaviour that I can't control. This was a wonderful practice to help me in that and I'll definitely be returning to it again. Many of the affirmations spoke to me very powerfully. This meditation has helped me reset my perspective and feel more positive and in control of my own inner experience. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ™ Now I'm going to order Mel's book!
