Closing your eyes and mentally repeating these words.
For this power nap I give myself full permission to take a complete break and I trust that my body will awaken in six minutes.
Feeling fresh and alert.
Let's start with a few slow and deep breaths.
Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
Breathing in and breathing out.
Inhaling low and slow.
Exhaling just letting it all go.
Deep breath in,
Long breath out and now let your breath be natural.
Let the weight of your whole body fall into the support beneath.
Eyes resting back,
The whole face softening.
Shoulders sinking down,
Hips releasing their weight.
Right now I invite you to lie here quietly and do absolutely nothing.
Allowing your body to sleep if it wants or simply resting in the peace of just being.
And now let your breath deepen again.
Taking a few more slow and low breaths.
Inhaling right down into your belly and exhaling with a long and soft sigh.
It's time to wake up now.
Let your body move and stretch in whatever way it wants to now.
Returning to its wide awake state,
Calm,
Alert and ready to begin afresh with your day.
