Hi,

My name is Allison.

Thanks for joining me for this breathwork and humming meditation.

Before we dive in,

I just wanted to share a little bit about humming and why it's beneficial.

First of all,

It calms the nervous system by stimulating the vagus nerve,

Which tells your body it's okay to relax.

It also creates gentle vibrations throughout your body,

Which can help clear your mind,

Open your sinuses,

And can even boost your mood by releasing endorphins.

So find a comfortable position,

Release any tension you're holding in your body,

And allow yourself to experiment with this practice without any judgment or expectations.

So the highest pitch and the lowest pitch that you hear in the music is the note that we're going to hum for eight beats.

You'll then hear the music change slightly and simplify for just two beats,

Which signals our inhale.

So let's give it a try together with some guidance from me,

And then I'll gradually fade out and let the music guide us to the end.
