Morning Rise.
When you feel ready,
With your eyes closed,
Find a comfortable position to sit or lay down and just focus for a few moments on stretching your body.
Gently stretch your neck from one side,
Feeling into that stretch from the front to the back.
And then the other side,
Feeling that stretch from the front to the back.
And now gently moving your neck from the left to the right.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Gently raise your shoulders now.
Lifting your shoulders up and down.
And down.
Just reaching your shoulders as high and as gently as you can towards the base of your neck.
And down.
And down.
Just gently moving your shoulders now in circles rotating backwards.
Very gently.
And now forwards.
Very gently.
Breathing in.
Breathing out.
Gently rotating your wrists now.
You may like to rotate one wrist at a time.
Forwards and back.
Forwards and back.
Forwards and back.
Rotate the other wrist now.
Forwards.
Forwards and back.
Allow yourself to sit fully upright now,
Wherever you are.
Sit fully upright as you breathe in.
And out.
And in.
Now reach your hands up to the sky,
Up to the ceiling,
Wherever you are.
Really reach them up to the sky.
Just reach them as high as you can gently.
And then exhaling them into your lap as you breathe in.
And out.
And in.
And out.
And just with your eyes remaining closed,
Think of one positive emotion,
One feeling you would like to feel throughout the day.
Any positive emotion.
It could be happy,
Joyful,
Confident,
Peaceful,
Focused,
Relaxed.
How would you like to predominantly feel today?
Just notice how you feel about that feeling.
And now imagine that you're placing that feeling in your hands,
In the palm of your hands.
Just resting that feeling in the palm of your hands on your lap now.
As you breathe in.
And out.
And in.
And out.
Breathing that feeling in to the palm of your hands and into your body and into your mind.
As you breathe in that feeling,
As you exhale you feel more of that feeling right now.
Now gently,
When you feel ready,
Gently open your eyes.
Just notice what you notice around you.
Notice what you notice in front of you.
As you breathe in.
And out.
And in.
And out.
When you feel ready,
Gently place your feet on the ground.
Firmly.
And gently stand and rise.
Stretch your arms up to the ceiling and the sky.
Really stretch those arms up high.
You may even like to place your body on tippy toes.
Stretching on tippy toes as you reach higher and higher.
And then gently rest your feet and your arms beside you.
As you breathe in.
And out.
For your morning rise.
