Bedtime meditation.

Our lives can be so hectic,

So full on and so overloaded each day.

So it can be hard to get a good night's sleep because our mind is still on overdrive.

So give yourself now some time to relax.

Comfortable in bed now.

Just really get every part of your limbs to sink in.

Gently close your eyes.

Just take a breath now.

Breathe in and let go as you breathe out.

Letting go of the day.

Letting go of the to-do list.

Letting go of the activity.

Take another breath in now.

Let go as you breathe out.

Feeling more relaxed.

Taking another breath in now and choosing to fully breathe in.

Just turn your attention now to your belly.

Full of your breath.

Feeling more relaxed and content with each new breath.

Just stay in this position for as long as you like.

Right now these short meditations are really working for me as I am trying to work my way up to doing longer ones. I have severe PTSD in my racing thoughts just take over meditations and it gets really frustrating especially on longer meditations. I find that 5 minutes or less is a good start. I'm excited for the motivation to stay consistent with meditation because I know that the effects can be really positive for people in my situation. Thank you for this.
