This is a basic guided meditation for young children. It is great for relaxation and calming little minds and bodies, developing awareness. It is very short, just over 2 minutes long, to cater for short attention spans and there is some counting and holding the breath.

Breathing like you're blowing a bubble.

Breathe in through your nose to the count of four and out through the mouth to the count of eight.

When you breathe out,

Hold your lips like you're about to blow a bubble.

This will slow down your breathing.

If your nose is blocked,

Just blow in and out through your mouth.

Okay,

Here we go.

Breathe in through your nose.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Blow out through your mouth with your lips pretending to blow a bubble.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Breathe in through your nose.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And out through your mouth with your lips pretending to blow a bubble.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

In through your nose.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Breathe out like you're about to blow out a bubble.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

Now breathe in.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

And breathing out,

Blowing a bubble.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four,

Five,

Six,

Seven,

Eight.

And now relax.
