This is a quick practice that we can use whenever we are feeling stress or other negative emotions.
It's a nice soothing visualization.
So take a comfortable seat,
Feet flat on the floor,
Spine nice and straight and relax as well.
You can let your shoulders drop and you can tuck in your chin a little bit so that if you've got your eyes open you are looking down towards the floor.
And take a nice deep breath all the way down into your belly and take your time to breathe out.
And whether you are sitting down or lying down,
Just feel yourself sinking into the surface that you are resting on.
And as you keep breathing you are becoming more and more comfortable,
More and more relaxed.
And as you take another nice deep breath I'd like you to feel in your heart that all is well.
Just know in your heart that right here,
Right now,
In this moment,
All is well.
And now I'd like you to take your awareness inside yourself,
In your chest area,
Take your awareness into your heart and feel a softness there.
Feel a sense of peace.
And just take a few moments to enjoy this warmth,
Enjoy this sense of peace.
Keep following your breath.
Keep focusing on your heart,
Focusing on that sense of peace.
And now I'd like you to enter more fully into your heart as if you could get inside it and find yourself inside the room.
Find yourself inside a warm,
Cosy room.
And let your eyes adjust.
And as your eyes adjust,
When you look around you will find a doorway.
And this doorway seems to be calling you to enter.
As you pass through the door you will find yourself walking along a nice bubbly mountain stream.
A lovely playful mountain stream.
It's a nice sunny day.
Not too warm,
There's a nice breeze in the air.
It's a crisp autumn day.
All the colours are out,
Brought to life by the sunshine.
And this path that you are walking on is well worn.
You can tell that many people have walked this path.
This is a place that people come to,
To find comfort,
To find peace.
And this stream right next to you has the power to heal.
It has the power to heal troubled minds.
It has the power to soothe.
And it does so with its sound as well.
So let the sound of this stream fill you up now.
Listen to the sound.
Notice how it brings you peace and healing.
This is your time,
So just take some time to simply relax.
Walk along the path and feel restored.
And soon you will come to a large smooth rock.
This is a resting place.
This is somewhere you can sit.
Take off your shoes and let your feet relax.
And if you want you can put your feet in the cool water and feel how refreshing it is.
And as you do,
You notice that the water begins to turn into light.
It turns into a silvery light.
So let this light flow up into your feet,
Up into your legs.
And then through your hips and up into your torso,
Into your chest,
Through your shoulders,
Into your arms,
Down into your hands,
And up into your neck and your head until it's flowing all through you.
Now this is a healing light.
So allow this silver light to clear away any impurities,
Clear away any tension that you don't need anymore,
Any stale energy,
Any negative emotions.
And as it does so,
Allow yourself to feel the calm,
Feel the peace which is filling you up.
Feel the lightness and the serenity which is left in you.
I'll just take some time with this feeling now.
Now,
Whenever there is a situation in your life which causes you stress,
You can imagine bringing the sound of this mountain stream into the situation and into yourself.
See yourself filled with all that light filling you up,
Surrounding you as well,
Clearing out all of the negative energy and just feel that pristine sense of clean energy inside you.
Feel that peace inside you.
And as you do this,
You can also reinforce it with affirmations.
You can say,
I am letting go of anything which disturbs me.
And I am allowing serenity to flow back into my mind and into my body.
It is now time to conclude this journey.
But before you open your eyes,
I'd like you to take a moment to thank yourself for doing this today.
For taking the time to give yourself some well-being.
And it is a gift,
So thank yourself for this gift.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes and feel wonderful,
Clean,
Refreshed,
Relaxed and full of energy.
