Hi,
My name is Asa.
Welcome to this grounding earth guided meditation.
Please come to a comfortable seat,
Either on a chair or on a cushion on the floor.
You can allow your eyes to fall closed or leave your eyes open with a soft gaze on the floor a few feet in front of you.
Take your time coming to a comfortable seat and feel free to do any gentle stretches that will help your body relax even further,
Such as slowly circling your shoulders,
Gently stretching your neck,
Or any other movement that feels relaxing to your body.
When you're ready,
Slow any movement down and allow your body to come to a place of stillness.
The next time you breathe in,
Allow the crown of your head to lift upwards,
Feeling your spine lengthen as you sit a little taller.
On the following exhale,
Allow your shoulders to relax down towards the earth.
Slowly begin to deepen your breath,
Making each breath a little fuller than the last.
And bring your full awareness to your body breathing,
Feeling a sense of expansion as you breathe in and a sense of relaxation as you breathe out.
Breathe at your own pace in a way that feels comfortable and relaxing for you.
With each breath,
Allow your focus to sink more and more into your body.
And if any thoughts pop into your mind at any time throughout the meditation,
Simply become aware that your mind is thinking and gently allow that thought to float away like clouds in the sky as you bring your focus back to your breath.
Notice if you're holding any tension in your face,
Your neck,
Your shoulders,
Or anywhere else in your body,
And if so,
The next time you exhale,
Imagine that tension melting away from your body.
When you're ready,
Gently move your awareness from your breath to the parts of your body touching the ground.
And the next time you breathe out,
Visualize tiny roots starting to grow from the parts of your body touching the ground into the ground.
Very small roots growing out from your body,
Moving through the floor beneath you and into the earth.
And with every exhale,
These roots grow longer and longer as they make their way down towards the center of the earth.
And as your roots continue to grow,
Feel yourself connect more and more with the earth,
Tapping into that solid,
Stable,
Grounding energy.
Remember that the earth is always here beneath us,
Supporting us.
Focus your attention on that sensation,
On that feeling of grounding,
Of rooting down into the earth.
Feel your roots reaching further and further,
Down until you reach a point where it almost feels like you can gently wiggle your body without pulling your roots from the earth.
Allow your roots to settle into their connection to the center of the earth and allow yourself to soak up this grounded,
Stable,
Supportive energy from the earth.
Breathe gently and hold on to this visualization of being connected.
Connected to the earth and perhaps even feeling the earth rising up to meet your body,
Gently holding you and supporting you.
Become aware of how sturdy the earth is beneath you.
And imagine the earth's strength,
That strength of stability,
Traveling up through your roots,
Up through the layers of the earth,
And up,
Up,
Up into your body.
Imagining it traveling up through your legs and bringing a steady,
Strong,
Reinforced,
Grounded quality to your spine.
And continue to soak up this visualization of being connected to this beautiful,
Wonderful,
Amazing earth that we have.
Brush up and I repeat.

You And as our practice comes to an end let's close it out with a moment of gratitude for the earth For this amazing planet that we call home That sustains our lives that nourishes us and that supports us And When you're ready you can gently allow the roots that you sent down into the earth To gently release as they slowly travel back up through all the layers of the earth Up up up and back into your body Continuing to hold on to and cultivate those feelings of support stability and strength While keeping your eyes closed start to open your awareness noticing your body in space as well as the room around you Slowly begin to deepen your breath And when you're ready And when you're ready take a deep breath in and on your exhale gently sit back take a stretch and blink open your eyes Thank you for practicing this grounding earth guided meditation.
