Hello,
Welcome to meditation.
My name is Catherine and meditation today is about choice.
I can find choice in the present moment.
So find a comfortable sitting position.
Drop your gaze or close your eyes.
Stay still and focus.
Begin by bringing your awareness to your breathing.
Notice each inhale and notice each exhale.
And slowly bring your awareness to what you're currently feeling.
The feelings you're feeling right now,
Be present to that.
Identify the name of this feeling and notice where you feel it in your body.
This feeling,
Whatever it is,
May be felt in your stomach,
Your shoulders,
Or maybe it's spread throughout your whole being.
Allow yourself to be with this emotion,
With this feeling in this present moment.
You choose to be with these emotions,
To be with these feelings in the present moment.
Call on your breath as it is your most powerful tool to engage your whole body in this experience.
As you choose and allow this emotion to just be,
Start to slow your breath.
Inhaling and exhaling deeply throughout your entire body.
Consider softening around the edge of the feeling or the emotion.
Notice as you slow your breath,
Your heart begins to slow and your emotion begins to soften even more.
From this space,
You begin to bring awareness to the moment that you are feeling it.
From this space,
You begin to bring awareness to the moment that you may have created this feeling.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
You may choose to let this feeling release.
Feed it or simply allow it to be.
It's your choice.
You choose.
As you inhale,
Take in what you need and with your exhale,
You have a choice to release what does not serve you.
Finding choice in the present moment.
You inhale,
You choose what you need and when you exhale,
You release what does not serve you.
Noticing what happens or what you experience when you allow for choice.
Noticing when you're able to actively make a safe choice in response to emotions.
Challenge yourself to stay present with the emotions and notice what's possible when you engage in a safe choice.
Allow your breathing to return to its normal pace.
Slow inhale and a slow exhale.
Inhale,
You reach both hands up.
Exhale,
Both hands to your heart center.
One breath together as a global community.
We inhale and together we exhale.
