There are times throughout the day where we can feel our energy dwindling.
Our focus becomes scattered and our overall sense of peace can seem compromised by external factors.
It can be easy to build momentum each morning with a new day and a fresh start,
Full of energy and hope of what's to come,
Only to lose steam and begin to feel depleted as your day goes on.
A loss of energy can be caused by many things,
From overwhelming to-do lists or responsibilities,
To other people and their energy weighing you down.
Perhaps you just need to break up your day,
To reboot,
If you will.
This session is intended to create a moment of space in your day to give yourself a quick reset so you can resume your day feeling refreshed,
Grounded and energized.
Hello,
My name is Adriana and I will be your meditation guide.
Let's begin.
I would like you to pause,
Get comfortable,
Close your eyes.
Now,
Take one slow,
Deep cleansing breath in.
Hold it at the top for a moment and release it,
Feeling your body relax.
Use this pause to set an intention to be calm and present in this moment.
Remember,
Right now,
You have nowhere else to be and nothing else to do,
But to be here,
Now.
By taking a thoughtful breath and setting this intention,
You are signaling your body and your mind to pause.
We will begin by using the technique of box breathing.
This is a simple exercise that helps shift your focus from doing to being.
Begin by inhaling slowly and intentionally to the count of four,
Holding to the count of four,
Then releasing to the count of four,
Holding again for the count of four,
And then repeat.
Do this for a few moments until you feel yourself settling even deeper.
Breathing at your normal pace,
Become aware of any tension in your body.
Relax your brow,
Unclench your jaw,
Drop your shoulders,
And soften your neck.
Feel your chest lighten as your belly rises and falls with each breath.
Sense your legs getting heavier as you sink into the surface beneath you.
Continue to scan your body while breathing,
Feeling every muscle soften with each exhale.
With your physical body more at ease,
I would like you to imagine a comforting white light above you.
This light shines down on you like a spotlight and has the power to pull towards it any of the weight you carried with you here into this moment.
It shines energy and love back to you,
Leaving you lighter,
Freer.
If there is anything specific you want to surrender to this light,
Visualize it rising up and trusting that it will all be okay.
Feeling the light embracing you and filling your heart center,
Reflect upon one thing that you are grateful for in this moment.
This can be specific or simply a feeling or an impression.
Whatever it is,
Allow it to infuse you with a sense of peace and love.
From this place of peace,
Set a simple one-word intention for the rest of your day.
Perhaps it is ease,
Focus,
Joy,
Or lightness.
Simply choose the word that appears in your mind first and resonates with you.
When you feel ready,
I would like you to take one more deep cleansing breath.
As you release this breath gently,
Smile.
Feel the peace that you have created for yourself coursing through you.
If it is available,
Begin to straighten your back and stretch.
Open your eyes and bring this renewed energy back into your day.
