This guided practice helps women with pelvic pain who have increased tension in the internal pelvic muscles. You can learn to relax and control these muscles with diaphragmatic breathing which can relieve pain. Note that better relaxation will not weaken these muscles but allow them to function normally. Ideally, the exercises should be performed with the guidance of a specialized pelvic pain physiotherapist but it won’t do you any harm to try on your own. Helpful to listen to the intro first.
