Transcript

Welcome to this guided meditation for sadness.

Find a comfortable seated position and allow your eyes to gently close.

Take a deep breath in through your nose.

Hold it for a few seconds and then slowly exhale through your mouth.

Repeat this a few times until you feel centered.

Now bring to mind something or someone that makes you feel grateful.

Allow that feeling of gratitude to fill your heart and expand throughout your entire body.

Visualize yourself surrounded by a warm and comforting light.

Imagine this light enveloping you with love and compassion.

Allow yourself to feel held and supported as we enter into this new season.

Remind yourself that just like the weather changes,

So too do our emotional states.

We can honor our feelings of sadness while also acknowledging that they will pass in due time.

Repeat the following affirmation to yourself.

I am loved and supported.

I trust in the healing power of time and self-compassion.

I am grateful for all that life brings.

Take a few more breaths before gently opening your eyes.

Know that you can come back to this peaceful state of mind whenever you need it.
