A moment of gratitude.
Time.
Time flies when you're having fun.
Time also flies when you're trying to get out of the door to school or to catch the 8.
22 bus to work in the morning.
When you're waiting for a pot to boil or an exam result,
Time can take forever.
Today's moment of gratitude is time.
Everything is dictated by time.
The hours we work,
How long that roast takes to cook,
How long we clean our teeth for and how long we sleep.
We measure by time.
100 metres in 9.
58 seconds,
0 to 60 in 2.
1 seconds or London to Australia in 17 hours.
One thing is for sure,
As individuals we have a finite amount of time on this planet and today I invite you to use your gratitude practice to think about time in your own life and you can interpret this as you wish.
You may want to think about how you use your time today or maybe think about how you want to use your time in the future.
Our perception of how we want to spend our time may have changed recently.
Only 9% of people want their lives to go back to the way they were before Covid-19.
Maybe now is the time to think about how you want to use your time going forward.
But none of us know what the future may bring.
So the present moment,
The now,
Is a moment of time we can focus on and make sure that we get the most out of,
Even if this is in a small way.
And much of gratitude is about small things.
Maybe you can take a moment to make someone else feel better by messaging them just to say hi or performing a random act of kindness.
If we just stop for a moment and breathe we can appreciate these moments of time are given to us,
They are precious and we can use them to change our life and the lives of those around us,
Like a ripple in a pond.
Today be grateful for time,
For moments of time and the possibilities that offers us.
Always have gratitude.
