Welcome to the Cave of Forgiveness.
You may enjoy this either in a seated position or lying down.
Be in a safe,
Quiet space for the next 30 minutes or so,
Giving yourself time to integrate the process afterwards,
Perhaps with a journal to reflect on the prompts at the end,
Or to record your insights.
Let's begin.
Lying down,
Feet uncrossed,
Dropping outward,
Allowing them to rest.
Arms by your side,
Knowing you can move them whenever you feel the need to.
If you're in a seated position,
Feet flat on the ground,
Back upright,
Legs uncrossed and arms rest gently in your lap.
Let's take a few regulating breaths.
Deep inhale through the nose,
Fill your belly,
Long slow exhale.
Feeling your body and mind arrive and repeat.
Repeat.
Repeating that deep belly breath.
Each breath allows your body to soften,
Your mind to still,
And your body to arrive into this space at this time.
As your breath relaxes,
Let your present moment awareness be on the surface you are lying or sitting on.
Now moving your awareness inside your body,
Noticing any sensations or feelings.
They're all okay,
Just let them be there.
Greet them with kindness and let them be present in this process.
In your mind's eye,
Begin to imagine your feet landing onto the earth.
Allow roots to grow downwards and let Mother Earth hold you.
She is supporting you at this time.
There's a lot of upheaval at the moment and we're all experiencing change.
Let Mother Earth hold you as your breath begins to deepen just for a moment,
Allowing your body to feel a little heavier.
You may feel sensations,
Memories,
Thoughts and feelings.
Just allow them to be present.
You don't need to resolve anything.
You don't need to change anything.
Accepting it as it is.
In your imagination,
Let your awareness find a path made of earth.
Your bare feet step onto this pathway and you begin to walk forward.
Notice your surroundings.
Is it a beach path,
A wood or jungle?
In the Australian bush or on a mountainside?
Whatever feels right for you at this time,
Just allow yourself time to walk through this place slowly.
Feeling your footsteps on the earth.
Listening to the insects,
Birds and animals.
Hearing the rustle of leaves in the gentle breeze.
Touching the plants or the bark of trees as you pass them by.
Smelling the dampness of the earth in the forest or the salty air at the beach.
Presently aware of everything around you.
As you continue to walk along this pathway,
Be aware of the dappled light through the foliage as your senses heighten in the moment.
You soon arrive at a clearing with a beautiful pond at the base of a crystal clear waterfall.
You notice to the left is a pathway winding up the cliff face adjacent to the waterfall.
You begin to walk up.
It is safe.
There is no struggle.
It is the unknown,
But you feel a sense of purpose,
A trust to simply follow this pathway.
As you walk,
The fresh water from the waterfall splashes over your body,
Refreshing you,
Cleansing you.
Every splash leaves you feeling lighter and clearer.
You arrive at a cave behind the waterfall.
As your eyes adjust to the light in the cave,
You realise it is covered in a shimmering pink rose quartz crystal.
All around you,
Above and below,
In all directions.
Rose quartz sits in the blue ray of light,
But we see it as pink.
It is the crystal of forgiveness.
You are in the cave of forgiveness.
Allow yourself to breathe this energy in.
A soft sense of forgiveness begins to move throughout your body.
Imagine your hand on your heart.
You can do this now if you choose to.
Allow forgiveness to wash through you.
Forgiving yourself for the struggles,
Emotions,
Feelings and beliefs that you carry about yourself.
As the body awakens to this new sensation of forgiveness,
Notice the silence you have been carrying.
The emotions you have held against yourself.
Letting all parts that no longer support you to dissolve into the rose quartz cave.
Let your breath carry it.
Let your heart feel it and release it.
You no longer have to blame or shame yourself.
Let go.
Let go.
Breathe in.
Let go.
Breathe in.
Let go.
You fall back into your body.
Lighter,
Calmer.
A renewed sense of self.
As you turn,
You see a line of people.
There may be one or many.
Some you will know,
Others you may not.
They are all here because you are bound by a desire for forgiveness.
You are not here to condone their behaviours,
Decisions or actions.
They are here to allow you to forgive so you can set yourself free from the burden of betrayal,
Hurt,
Anger and other emotions that have kept you stuck and small.
Give yourself a moment with each person.
Place your hand on their heart and look into their eyes.
And when you feel it's right,
Tell them,
I forgive you.
Receiving their blessing of acceptance as they walk away.
With each person,
Notice how it feels in your body.
A lightness,
A letting go,
A release,
Maybe a resistance.
I'm going to give you time to go through this process of forgiveness with everyone in the cave.
I will return with my voice.
The last person arrives in front of you.
Notice who it is.
It may be someone who has arrived previously or someone entirely new.
Either way,
It is okay.
They are choosing to be the last person to seek your forgiveness.
Place your hand on their heart and on yours.
Look into each other's eyes.
Say what you need to say.
And allow the forgiveness to radiate between you both.
I forgive you.
Feel a lightness coming over your body.
A sense of release,
Freedom for your body and soul.
You are now alone.
You are free.
As you move closer to the waterfall,
The cool fresh water splashes over you again.
Deep cleansing and clearing has happened here.
Allow the water to wash any last remnants from your body and mind.
You may prefer to walk down the pathway to the left back to the pond.
You may choose to jump in and feel the ripple effect as you sink into the water.
Do that now.
Your feet land on the pathway of earth that led you here.
Notice if the colours are brighter,
The sounds and the sights more vivid.
Your body may be more heightened of what's around you.
All your senses lighter and more aware.
Get a sense of what you're seeing,
Feeling,
Smelling,
Touching.
You are now in present moment awareness.
Begin to feel the joy within you.
Slowly and with purpose you walk along the pathway.
Arriving back to your body in the room you are now in,
On the surface you are resting.
Allow your breath to deepen.
Your fingers and toes begin to awaken your body through gentle movement.
When you're ready,
Open your eyes slowly,
Allowing them to adjust.
Let your breath return to a steady natural pace.
Take your time.
And so it is done.
I invite you to spend the next 10 minutes or so simply reflecting on the experience.
You may like to journal on these prompts or write down your own reflections.
Here are some prompts.
How was the walk into the cave?
How did it change after you spent time there?
Who came to the cave seeking your forgiveness?
Who was the last person in your line?
What did you forgive yourself for?
How will you apply this into your daily life with the people around you?
Thank you for listening.
Ahoy!
