What deeper,
Truer you Is trying to come forward through what you want?
And what you're scared to receive.
Hey there,
Friend.
Thanks for hitting play today.
Manifestation usually begins with the outcome.
How do I get this?
I really want this.
Then identity work gives us the deeper question.
The more powerful question.
Who is the person?
Already lives this outcome.
That moves us beyond the goal itself and toward the person who is already living it.
But it can still keep us attached to the outcome.
If we start crafting an identity,
Around who our mind thinks we need to be.
And then we'll try to squeeze ourselves into that person.
So now we go from chasing outcomes to chasing a version of ourselves.
And then when resistance inevitably shows up,
When we try to make all of this happen,
We tell ourselves we lack discipline,
Maybe we're not ready,
Or we're not cut out for the life that we want.
But in this meditation,
I want to offer you a different path.
The path where your desire your mind's version of who you think you need to be?
And the resistance you experience trying to manifest them both into reality.
Can all become vehicles toward your most authentic self.
This is what I call manifestation through authenticity.
So instead of hyper-focusing on the outcome,
We ask,
What if being my most authentic self was the only marching order?
I gave my life.
What would happen.
What if your authentic self was the only thing you ever needed to quote-unquote manifest?
What if you just became present?
To what's here now.
And stop forcing life into the exact form your mind conjures up.
And allow the outcomes that manifest to become a side effect of living more honestly and wakefully.
So in this practice,
We're going to explore just that.
I'm going to guide you to follow one important desire that you have in your life right now.
Pass the outcome.
Pass the person you think you need to become.
And toward the most authentic self that wants to come alive through it.
So let's clear a little space and settle in.
Gently close your eyes.
Get comfortable.
Take a soft breath to slow yourself down.
Heal your body,
In your chair.
Feel the ground beneath you.
Notice the air touching your skin.
And just let your attention move from the thoughts in your mind.
Into the sensations in your body.
And just begin to slow yourself down.
And bring your awareness now.
To the area in and around your heart.
And see if you can bring your entire energy there.
As you breathe.
They'll each inhale.
And each exhale.
As if you're sending energy.
Directly to your heart.
And just rest your attention there.
Our heart knows the way.
Or just let your breathing be.
In your awareness.
All settle.
Into your heart.
And let yourself sink.
Right there.
So to start,
I want you to bring to mind one clear desire.
That matters to you right now.
Say it in your mind,
Plainly.
You are declaring it.
When you declare something,
You're owning it.
So we begin.
By owning our desire.
One desire that matters to you.
One that feels true.
So state it simply.
And once your desire has been declared,
What identity already lives the outcome I want?
Who is that person?
Again,
Simply name the person.
You associate.
With the outcome you desire.
And notice how that person thinks.
How they choose.
And how they behave.
In their ordinary life.
Keep this simple.
There are no wrong answers here.
Beautiful.
Now let's explore that identity deeper.
And listen to the desire itself.
What part of you wants to come alive?
Through this desire.
So a desire for abundance.
May reveal freedom or self-trust.
Desire to do meaningful work.
They reveal creative expression,
Leadership.
Connection,
Belonging.
The desire to travel the world and explore.
May reveal curiosity.
Independence.
Or deep love for life.
So what do you believe?
The outcome of your desire.
Would allow you to feel,
Express or experience.
What qualities or values are trying to become more present through it?
The outcome is just the visible part of your desire.
But what wants to come alive through it?
Is your first real clue toward the authentic self asking to come forward.
Okay,
So we have our desire.
We have the identity behind it.
We have what wants to come alive through it.
Now?
Let's locate the resistance.
I want you to imagine that this desire is no longer something you're just thinking about.
It's becoming real.
And now you have to live as the identity you named.
So if this desire arrived,
And you had to live as that person,
What would feel hardest to receive?
So your desire may expose you to being seen in a new way.
It may expose you to responsibility.
Intimacy It may expose you to new expectations.
Or simply grief over leaving an old version of yourself behind.
What would become exposing for you.
What might people expect from you now?
What,
Perhaps,
Would you have to stop hiding from?
You're locating where you delay.
Disappear.
Or sabotage yourself.
And receiving that desire.
Or becoming that person.
No judgment needed.
So analyzing it,
Just notice it for now.
And once you locate that resistance.
.
.
It has something to show you.
So stay with it.
And ask it what it may be pointing you toward.
What real part of yourself wants to come forward?
When this desire becomes real.
A real quality,
Or a way of being that you already recognize somewhere inside of yourself.
For example.
.
.
Resistance to being seen?
May be pointing towards self-acceptance.
Resistance to new responsibility or accountability may be pointing toward leadership.
And becoming someone others can rely on.
Resistance to intimacy.
May point to openness and availability.
What part of yourself is your resistance asking you to recover?
Beautiful.
Now let's bring all of these insights together.
The identity you name?
Behind your desire.
What your desire revealed that wants to come alive through you.
And what the resistance revealed needs to be recovered.
When you bring those together,
Ask yourself.
.
.
Who is the most authentic self these answers are pointing me towards?
And just listen for what feels deepest and most true.
If all of these are clues.
Your desire,
The person you believe you need to become,
And your resistance to receiving What deeper version of yourself?
Are they all trying to guide you towards?
Just rest in that.
Just for a few moments here.
And as you're connecting.
With that truer version of yourself.
Run that identity through your body.
Ask.
Does this feel like the most authentic version of me?
How does this feel?
Like a truer version of myself.
This is like your energetic check.
To ensure that this identity is true.
You might even play a mini-movie in your mind.
Of seeing yourself being this person.
What do you feel?
Is there a sense of recognition?
Does this identity fit your values,
Your temperament,
Your body?
Of making choices and behaving as this person.
Come from a place of truth?
If you bump up against any discomfort or uncertainty,
That doesn't automatically mean the identity you chose is wrong.
Were inauthentic,
It just might mean it's unfamiliar.
There's a difference.
Sometimes we often mistake the discomfort that comes along with the greater self.
That we're on the wrong path.
But it's really your body's way of saying,
This version of me is unpracticed.
Beautiful work.
And as we start to close out our practice,
Take a deep breath here.
Reground yourself back to your body.
Feel your heart space again.
And as you return,
Exercise if this identity is true.
If this desire is really pointing me to a more authentic version of myself.
How might I participate in my life?
As this self now.
Set the intention to take one action that allows the deeper qualities of that identity to become real in your life.
It doesn't need to be fancy,
Just a way to give your authentic self a place to make choices and express itself in your life now.
And whenever you're ready.
.
.
You can take a few more grounding breaths.
Give yourself a stretch.
A nice little hug.
And know that you don't need to become that total self today.
Or what might manifest from it when it's given one real place to live?
In the one and only life you have now.
Begin there.
