Welcome.
This meditation is for the moments when you feel like you need to cry but can't.
Maybe there's pressure in your chest,
A lump in your throat,
A heaviness that has nowhere to go.
You might wish the tears would just come so something inside you could release.
For now nothing needs to happen,
Nothing needs to be forced,
This is simply a place to sit with what's here.
Take a slow breath in and a gentle breath out.
Notice your chest,
Your throat,
Your stomach.
Where do you feel the emotion most right now?
No need to change it,
Just notice.
Another slow breath in.
Sometimes the body holds tears back when it doesn't feel safe to release them yet.
Sometimes emotions need more space,
More time,
More steadiness.
There's nothing wrong with you if the tears won't come.
Your system is protecting you in the only way it knows how.
See if you can offer your body a small signal of safety,
Maybe by placing a hand on your chest or gently holding your own hands together.
Let your breath move naturally,
No need to breathe in a special way,
Just breathing.
If tears come they're welcome,
If they don't come that's welcome too.
Nothing has to happen in this moment for this to be meaningful.
Emotions don't stay trapped forever,
They move in their own time,
In their own rhythm.
Even when you can't feel the movement yet,
Something inside is slowly shifting.
You're allowed to be exactly where you are,
Numb,
Full,
Quiet,
Overwhelmed.
Just stay here with yourself,
Breathing,
Allowing.
You don't have to force a release,
You don't have to push yourself to feel more.
Your emotions will move when they're ready and until then you can simply hold yourself here.
Even this state will change,
Nothing inside you stays frozen forever.
For now,
Just breathe.
Take one slightly deeper breath in and a slow breath out.
Notice if there's even one percent more space inside,
That's enough.
And if what you're carrying ever feels too heavy to hold alone,
Reaching out for support can be a deeply kind step toward yourself.
For now,
Just stay close to yourself,
One breath at a time.
