Hello dear people,
Welcome to this unique opportunity we give ourselves every week to stop the rush,
Hold hands and walk the path together,
Not just as individuals but also as a united consciousness,
Driven by our longing for the truth,
Driven by that tension that hides between the question and the answer.
So this is your opportunity to shine,
To contribute by sharing your question.
Ideally,
On the path to an open heart,
This is what we are gathered here for,
To become an expression of an open heart.
So anything you feel that still stands between you and an open heart,
Any doubt,
Any fear,
Any objection,
Any remorse,
Regret,
Any expectation,
This is your opportunity to shed that load off.
AJ is back on the open heart or full heart?
Yeah,
Whatever works for you.
The original quote from the Bible in Hebrew is shalem,
Which means whole,
Like not a part of but all of it,
Complete.
So there's no exact word in English but you know what we mean,
That's the most important thing.
I think that it's a beautiful representation of how we can be both everything and nothing.
We can be both an open heart that allows everything in and a full heart that is complete and needs nothing.
That's how I look at those two different things.
The original sentence was said by King David to his son Solomon in the holy temple,
When he presented his son to the congregation of Israel and he said to his son,
You will work the God of your ancestors with a full heart and a willing soul because God demands the hearts of everyone.
That's the sentence.
And when I first read that,
It was like,
I can't capture the essence of this path better than what King David said.
So full heart,
Okay.
Full heart is your preference.
So why do you say open heart then?
I don't know.
Yeah.
What does it represent to you?
I don't know if it really matters that much,
But deep inside we know when we are faking it,
Right?
We know when we are not truly dedicated,
Devoted.
We know when we are still governed by fear,
By hesitation,
By doubt.
We know when we are not allowing ourselves to go all the way truly.
We know that.
So if you want to call it an open heart or a full heart or whatever,
It doesn't really matter.
What matters is that you are honest with yourself,
First of all.
Honest about your claim to be dedicated to this path,
To be dedicated to your vision of manifesting your existence to be an expression of an,
Of unconditional love.
Unconditional love.
Right?
That's it.
And how that translates into your relationships,
You know,
To your private life is secondary.
So Michelle is asking or saying,
Constantly dissatisfied with life.
It is repetitive,
Unsatisfying,
And lacks focus,
Direction,
Goals,
And aspirations.
What to do?
First of all,
What you're describing is not life.
It sounds like your experience of it.
Life is holding all possibilities.
Life can be boring and very interesting.
Life can be lacking focus or extremely focused.
All of that exists in life.
Right?
How do I know?
Because I experienced both.
So don't blame life.
It's just a matter of your perspective of it.
And for some reason,
That perspective currently is not joyful.
It sounds like you come with a demand to life,
To entertain you in a certain way,
To meet your expectations.
Life should be this and that.
How do I know?
I have an idea about it,
An opinion.
When that opinion contradicts your experience,
You are frustrated.
You are angry.
You are disappointed.
You are revengeful,
Violent,
Et cetera,
Et cetera.
It's got nothing to do with life.
But everything to do with the fact that your experience contradicts your expectations.
Or the way we put it here,
Creating a gap between what is and what you believe it should have been.
Life should be more focused.
Really?
Life should be more directed directed.
Is that the truth?
Life should be more directed?
First of all,
Realize you don't talk about life.
You talk about yourself.
Stop blaming life.
Turn it around.
I should be more directed.
I should be more focused.
I should be more goal-oriented.
We spoke about that when we spoke about the feminine versus the masculine.
Once I realize it's me I'm talking about,
I take back that responsibility.
I take back that power to change.
Because I'm not a victim of life anymore.
It's not about life.
It's about me.
That's the first thing.
And then how to change?
Find a balance,
Harmonious balance,
Healthy balance between the masculine and the feminine.
Masculine is that energy that is goal-oriented,
Driven by a vision.
Feminine is the chaos that happens on the way there.
The creativity force of life.
Then,
If you want to dive into the details,
There is already a recorded session on balancing the two.
I encourage you to go and listen to that.
If you feel you lack orientation,
You like direction,
You lack focus,
You need to increase your masculinity.
Put some attention there.
Put some attention there.
Fake it until you make it.
Deliberately,
Consciously,
Put more effort,
More attention there.
And you'll see your life will be more balanced.
So what did we learn?
Stop blaming life for your misery.
It's not about life.
It's about how you allow yourself to experience it.
And once you realize that,
You regain power to change.
The response ability,
The ability to respond.
And now you do whatever is required to find the balance,
Harmonious balance in your life.
Yes?
What else?
AJ is asking,
What is a life well lived along the path?
Yeah,
It's a question that every one of us should ask.
How do I need to refine the way I allow myself to live in order to come judgment day and the angel Gabriel is looking into my eyes,
Asking,
Well,
How was it?
How can I come to that moment and tell him it was fantastic?
Definitely a question every one of us should ask.
I grabbed that opportunity and squeezed the juice out of it.
I'm not regretting anything.
And I cherish every experience I had.
How do we find your life to do that?
And I tell you,
Guaranteed.
If you don't say these sentence to Gabriel when you meet him,
It's because you are afraid.
Today,
You are afraid to fully allow yourself to surrender to life,
To commit to the present moment.
You're afraid,
You're driven by fear.
So,
To answer your question,
AJ,
A successful life,
Well lived,
Is life that is driven by love,
Not by fear.
Fearless.
That's why the work that we are doing is so important,
So crucial.
Because we are putting that on the table.
We are staring fear in the eyes.
And gently removing the fear of the present moment.
Everything that is still blocking us from opening our heart fully.
What else?
What do you feel still is unresolved,
Doesn't allow you to open your heart,
To fully surrender?
Michelle says self-judgment.
You see,
We go back to that gap.
What is judgment?
It's an idea,
Right?
Idea that I have about what reality should look like.
In that reality,
Me included.
I should know better,
I should realize,
I should have been something else by now.
I'm not worthy,
As I am.
As I am.
When will I be worthy?
When I change.
When my expectations of myself are met.
Same gap.
Different targets,
Same gap.
Do you see that?
So what to do?
Prefer the present moment.
Prefer the present manifestation of yourself as it is right now.
Prefer your body over your ideas about how you should look like.
Realize that you create that gap,
You can close it.
Prefer the present moment over any contradicting idea about it.
Your ideas and opinions are secondary.
First is the present moment.
How to close the gap?
Again,
There is a talk dedicated to that.
Search for it.
Living without suffering.
But in a sentence,
Draw a line.
Draw a line.
Draw a line.
Draw a line.
Draw a line.
Hope your ideas and opinions,
They are not as important as the present moment is.
Prefer the present moment.
I'm not saying that you should not strive for excellence.
Right?
You want to better yourself.
Fantastic,
Do it.
You know,
Set goals.
And work.
Put your dedication into it to improve yourself.
Definitely.
Why not?
But don't persuade yourself that only when a different version of you manifests,
Only then you can be happy,
Successful,
Worthy.
No,
No,
No.
That's an illusion.
And if you remain in that position,
I guarantee that they will never come.
Ever.
Not because of which version is currently manifested,
But because you believe and keep believing that you should have been somebody else.
Because of that position.
And enlightenment is a state of consciousness that is risen beyond self-doubt.
Not because it's different than your consciousness.
It's just risen beyond self-doubt.
Do you see the difference?
Tell me.
Good,
Good,
Good.
Barbara,
Yes.
That's why we're here,
No?
Forget,
And then we remember.
We forget,
And then we remember.
The pulse of life is good,
As long as the monitor is active.
And don't create another self-judgment.
Oh,
I should not forget.
By now,
I should remember all the time.
By now,
I should remember all the time.
No,
No,
No.
Don't generate a new artificial drama around that.
Namaste to both.
Why self-doubt?
Fall in first place.
Something in the first place.
Why self-doubt fall in the first place?
Some people have difficulty judging others,
And very easy to judge themselves.
Some people is the opposite.
Very difficult to judge themselves,
But very easy to judge other people,
You know?
But realize it's the same gap,
Just a different target.
As long as you live in the gap,
You suffer.
And you don't utilize the full potential of who you are.
Not who you can be,
But who you are.
So,
As long as you prefer your ideas and opinions about life,
You're stuck in a trap that you created.
So,
It doesn't matter if your finger is pointed outwards or inwards,
You know,
Blaming life or blaming the world,
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter.
It doesn't matter who you are.
As long as you're in this position of blaming,
You're stuck.
Now,
Ask yourself,
Do you want to step out of that position?
Truly,
Honestly,
Do you want to live without blame?
There is a price to pay.
Are you willing to pay it?
What is more important,
Are you willing to pay it?
What is most important for you?
Most important,
Is it to be right,
To be just,
To win an argument,
To persuade life that you are right and it is wrong?
To be in that position of,
You know,
The preacher.
I know.
So,
Is it more important for you to live as an expression of unconditional love?
What is most important for you?
This is a question everyone should ask.
And I tell you,
If you are honestly choosing life over your opinions about life,
You're on the path.
Welcome.
Kimi is saying good morning from the land down under.
First time here.
Wow.
A long way from home.
Welcome,
Especially for those people who are here for the first time.
If you're asking yourself,
What the hell we are doing here?
The answer is,
We are orienting our life to be an expression of unconditional love.
What is the gap?
The gap is a self-created trap that we create,
That puts an artificial opinion between me and life as it manifests.
And it doesn't matter if that opinion is positive or negative,
By the way.
In both cases,
We are trapped.
Usually,
It's easier to identify that when it's negative,
Right?
Because we are frustrated,
We are angry.
This shouldn't have happened.
I know what should have happened.
But it's not that.
Right?
So it's easy to identify that as a problem.
But also,
If our opinion is positive,
It's still an opinion and it stands between me and a direct experience of life.
Do you see what I'm saying?
Remember,
Closing the gap has three phases.
And again,
If you're not fully aware of what the trap is and how to close it,
There is a dedicated talk about that.
Go there,
Listen to it.
Living without suffering.
I believe is the name of that track or something like that.
Find it.
It's on my Insight Timer page.
But to close the gap,
There are three phases.
Remember,
First is to remind yourself that you don't truly know what should have happened.
It's just an idea that you have,
But you don't know that for a fact.
You should never speak to me like that.
I don't know how you should have spoken to me.
That's the first step.
Second step is choosing an opposite paradigm.
That's exactly how you should have spoken to me.
How do I know that?
Because that's the reality and reality is the truth.
And I prefer reality over my opinions because I want to stop suffering.
But the third stage,
Which is crucial for those who want to go all the way,
Is dropping the paradigm altogether.
Not for and not against.
Dropping it.
Drop your opinions.
They are not important,
Even though they seem very important.
You create a paradigm.
Even though they seem very important,
You create a whole identity around your opinions.
Drop them.
Prefer reality over your opinions.
Then you're free.
Another track that is recommended to listen to is I Am Not My Intellect.
The intellect generates all those opinions,
Right?
So,
Realize I'm not the intellect.
I'm much bigger than the sum of my opinions.
Kimmy is asking,
Is it linked into ego?
Yeah,
Because as I said,
The sum of my opinions I use to generate an identity,
A separated identity that identifies itself around that.
Who am I?
I am the one who believes A,
B,
And C,
As opposed to you who believes something else.
Yeah,
An illusion of duality or separation.
Yeah,
An illusion of duality or separateness.
That's the definition of ego.
Imagine yourself unidentified with the set of beliefs that you hold so dearly.
Who are you then?
Who are you,
Huh?
Don't know.
Don't know.
It's a good way.
It's a good place to be.
I don't know.
Who will you be without your natural identification with a set of beliefs that you hold so dearly,
You protect so dearly?
Who would you be without that?
Who would you be without that?
Go there.
Don't be afraid of the unknown,
The mystery that hides there.
And even if you are afraid,
Go there.
It's inevitable on the path.
You will get there.
So if you orient yourself to go there consciously,
You just accelerate your evolution.
That's it.
What else?
Kimmy says,
Right now I'm happy just to be,
To flow quietly.
Happy is good.
Barbara says,
I'm from the USA.
We recently had our presidential election.
My preferred candidate did not win.
A gap I recognized and practiced closing.
Good.
Osaya says,
You said the gap can appear in both positive and negative forms.
What is an example of the positive form?
You know,
It doesn't matter if you judge something as good or bad.
It's a trap anyway.
If it's bad,
Of course,
It's obvious,
No?
You cannot be happy and content until it goes and turns into good,
Right?
According to your idea of what good and bad is.
And if it's good,
Also you're trapped because you know from experience,
It's temporary.
And it's,
And life is threatening it all the time.
It will be taken away from you.
Doesn't matter if it's a relationship or a status or,
You know,
A job that you have and you are very happy with.
It will be taken away.
It's just a matter of time.
Life takes everything away from you.
And that's the essence of suffering according to the Buddha,
No?
Craving,
The holding onto,
The attachment,
And aversion.
The,
No,
No,
No,
This is,
This is unacceptable.
I can't can't accept this.
Craving and aversion,
Craving and aversion are the essence of our suffering.
So it doesn't matter if it's good or bad.
In both cases,
You're stuck because you have an opinion that you prefer about reality instead of just being there exposed to experience reality.
Even if your idea is natural and has no opinion,
This is a pine tree,
Okay?
I see a tree,
This is a pine tree.
Already that idea,
This is a pine tree,
Stands between you and a direct experience of pineness.
You will never be able to fully melt into that experience because you have a preconception,
An idea about your experience.
Tantra can only happen when there are no ideas and opinions.
Tantra can only happen when there are no ideas and opinions.
There is no,
Even that identity that generates those ideas and identify with them,
That entity dissolves.
Only then tantric union is possible.
No,
I've just finished writing a book and the book describes the four evolutionary stages of consciousness.
The first evolutionary stage is grow beyond suffering.
The second one is grow beyond your fears.
The third is embrace and love life.
And the fourth is tantric union,
Is that melting between the experiencer and the experience,
Between the observer and the object of observation,
Melting into oneness.
So,
That's the full journey.
Soon that will be available for you to read.
You agree?
What else?
I was going to go back to Giotis' question,
Why the self-doubt in the first place?
It always occurs to me in my profession as a midwife,
Whenever,
Sometimes in the medical world,
We tend to pathologize things that are normal.
So,
For example,
If somebody goes past their due date in pregnancy and we want to induce them,
We want to get the labor going because we think there's some sort of risk and it's all about risk management and all this kind of stuff.
And then if I have many,
Many people that go past their due date,
Then I start to think,
Well,
This is normal.
Why are we intervening when this is the way that we're made?
This is the way that it's supposed to be,
Whatever.
So,
When it comes to something like self-doubt and judgment and all the things that we experience in this life,
And so arguably everyone as a human being experiences this and this is normal,
Why are we even trying to do what you're saying?
Why are we on this path?
What's the goal here?
Where are we trying to get to?
Why is everybody here?
What is the purpose of all of this?
What's the meaning in life?
What are we trying to get out of this?
Why are you here?
Cowley asked the question.
And just to narrow it down,
Why do we have this self-judgment?
Does it have a purpose?
Is there a reason for it?
Does it serve us in any way?
Is the purpose just the futile effort of trying to the futile effort of trying to move past that?
Past judgment?
Yeah.
It's not futile.
It's doable.
It's just a matter of what is more important to you.
Next time you meet a thought that is judgmental,
No,
This shouldn't have been.
I know what it should have been,
But it's not this.
It doesn't matter if you're pointing outward or inward.
Next time you meet that idea,
That opinion,
Don't believe it and see what happens.
Truly,
Don't believe it.
Realize it's just a thought.
It has no power.
Thoughts have no power unless you believe.
You identify.
Then it becomes the story of your life.
But once you are able to observe your thoughts and opinions without identifying,
Without believing,
It's just another event,
Like a scratch on your nose.
And each something that comes and goes and that's it.
It leaves no mark.
You shared so beautifully how important it was for you to identify with your thoughts and important it was for you to stop identifying with ideas and opinions that are contradicting your immediate experience.
And how the whole environment,
The internal and external environment changes because of that shift of attention.
Correct?
I did?
You did.
When was that?
A couple of meetings ago.
When you are able to observe a judgmental thought and not believing it,
Not identifying with it,
And leaves no mark and doesn't change anything in your expression of unconditional love.
Yes?
So Michelle is saying for peace,
Always seeking peace,
No judgment,
Just acceptance with what is.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So sometimes I struggle with the teachings here because it feels like.
.
.
So Buddha talks about the middle path and the craving and aversions and being neutral.
So again,
If we're going for peace or we're going for love,
How do these,
How are these things different from hate or fear or,
You know,
And,
And is that just not another version of trying to seek something that we're craving?
We're craving more peace,
We're craving more love,
We're craving Love and peace,
As long as they are craved,
Are not an expression of your true self.
Love and peace is not something you should find,
But realize.
It's not a target.
Love and peace is who you are,
What you are made of.
And the whole journey is letting go of everything that stands between you and the direct experience of the other person.
It's not a reward at the end of your efforts,
It's not a reward at the end of your efforts.
Love and peace is who you are,
What you are made of.
And the whole journey is letting go of everything that stands between you and the direct experience of that.
As long as you keep searching,
The search will continue.
Why?
Because you keep searching.
Yes?
It's good that you now search for enlightenment as opposed to another yacht.
It's good.
It reveals that you have grown on the path.
This is also mentioned in the book.
But realize the search has got nothing to do with your surroundings,
With life and the promise they hold for your happiness.
No,
That's an illusion.
Life doesn't owe you anything.
Stop the search out there.
Realize you are that.
You are that.
.
Org.
That's my website.
So what's the meaning of that?
You generate a meaning.
That's what you have to do.
Feel your life with meaning.
But the only way to start doing that is stop arguing with life.
Because then you don't experience what is,
You experience what isn't.
Your focus is on what should have been,
Not on what is.
You see,
If you want to feel your life with meaning,
You have to be here,
Live life.
Where are you?
Okay,
So AJ is asking,
How about one in an abusive relationship?
Do we surrender,
Endure to learn the lesson?
You do the right thing.
I don't know.
You know.
If you follow your I don't know.
You know.
If you follow your love.
Fearless.
Some people stay in an abusive relationship because they are afraid.
Some stay because they love.
I don't know the right thing to do.
You know.
And if you're not certain,
Then ask yourself,
What should I do?
What would I have done if there was no fear in me anymore at all?
Would I stay or go?
Of course,
The only exception,
How do you say,
Star,
The only caveat is the secrecy of life itself that comes before all my opinions.
If life is endangered,
Then you make yourself a healthy environment that doesn't endanger your life anymore.
That's just the beginning of the conversation.
That's where fear becomes purposeful.
Yeah.
If the fear is there because life is endangered,
Then answer that because your life is sacred.
First and foremost,
We are here to live,
Not to die as far as we can control it.
What else?
Kimmy is saying this is a journey of discovery to oneself,
To everything.
April says,
Agree,
Love is not a destination,
It's already within us.
I believe judgment shows us where we are condemning ourselves for just being human.
So judgment has a way to show us the way.
Judgment has a lesson.
Judgment has the purpose of a lesson to show us the way.
What way?
The way you're describing.
What?
Again,
Again,
Again.
Judgment is a lesson.
If we see,
If we try to answer a question of why,
Which is a futile question,
Then we can find lessons in our experiences.
So when we become aware of our judgment and we say,
Okay,
I'm aware that I'm judging myself in this moment.
I should be this or I should be that.
Okay,
That's an interesting judgment.
I'm aware of it.
I see it.
What is happening right now in this moment?
I'm judging myself.
What is happening when I look in the mirror?
I look in the mirror and I see this person standing in front of me.
I accept this person wholeheartedly and fully.
So the judgment serves as a gateway to our lesson on this path of awareness and experiencing this moment,
Bringing ourselves back to this moment.
So judgment is a way for us to realize it's more important for us to stop judging.
That's what you say.
Fantastic.
Perfection.
That,
Exactly.
Okay,
We got it.
Yeah,
That's what we said about forgetting and remembering.
Now you will,
Of course,
When this session is over,
You'll go back to life and you immediately start judging it.
Immediately.
I'm telling you,
Not more than 10 minutes,
You'll start complaining about something.
So it's okay.
As long as you realize,
You remind yourself,
No,
No,
No,
This is just me and my opinions and I prefer the present moment.
Don't wait for the day that those contradicting ideas will disappear from your mind and never return.
I tell you,
Guaranteed,
That day will never come.
Even enlightened people think,
And some of those thoughts are contradicting life.
So what?
Thoughts have no power.
Thoughts have no power.
It's not a problem that you think about something,
As long as you don't identify with it.
That's the trick.
It's not a problem that you don't identify with it.
That's the trick.
Okay,
So we have this crazy idea of doing a reality show of our lives.
So people can see how it manifests.
Yeah,
Like,
You know,
People look at us and they're,
They're saying,
Okay,
You're on,
Whatever,
Like what you're saying.
Yeah,
Right.
Let's see you do this.
You're going to put cameras all over the house.
And you're going to see how we interact with our kids and how we make dinner and,
And yeah,
Anybody have any videography experience come and help us?
I think it's going to be the most failed channel on the internet.
See?
Yeah,
See,
Christine's in,
Michelle's in.
April's saying,
I'm aware of when I judge myself now,
And I judge the thought rather than ruminating on my imperfections.
Don't judge your thoughts.
It's okay.
Thoughts are allowed to be there.
If they are there,
It's okay.
Don't be angry and frustrated about the fact that you think something.
You know,
There is this story about this teacher,
The spiritual teacher who met students in the university,
And he's telling his students that in one of those lectures,
A beautiful student,
You know,
Rose up and asked the question,
And he couldn't even hear the question.
He was so overwhelmed by her beauty,
And he was thinking,
Wow,
She's so beautiful.
I should find an opportunity in the break to maybe talk to her.
Maybe we can get something going.
And he's teaching that as a,
You know,
A spiritual lesson.
And people are,
What?
Spiritual teachers are not supposed to think that thoughts.
Are you kidding me?
And he's saying,
No,
No,
The fact that that thought entered my mind is not a problem.
It's just a thought.
It's just a thought.
Enter my mind is not a problem.
Actually,
I would be more worried as a man if that thought wouldn't to appear in my mind.
It's natural.
It would become a problem if I would identify with that thought and driven to act because of it.
Right?
The fact that the thought was there,
So what?
It's like a radio collecting station,
You know,
Radio transmission.
Your mind is like a radio.
And transmissions are there.
This thought is in my head now and the next moment will be in somebody else's head.
So what?
Don't identify with these transmissions.
They have no power.
No power.
Radio cannot do anything.
It just stands there on the shelf.
Right?
What can a radio do?
Same with your mind,
You know,
Just collecting information.
That's it.
What else?
JOTI says,
One of my friends sometimes is kind and sometimes says mean words.
Even if I told you,
Your words hurt me,
But they're still doing it.
Please guide me.
You come with a full heart and a willing soul unconditionally loving that person as he is right now.
Drop the idea that they should be different.
That they should understand,
They should realize,
That should change.
Drop it.
If they are hurtful and mean,
That's because they suffer internally.
Realize that.
They are in pain and the way for them to express that pain is to hurt you.
This is their way to control the level of pain that they experience internally.
So when you meet somebody who's suffering and act out of suffering,
You just have compassion.
That's it.
Don't be intimidated by that.
They cannot hurt you.
Not really.
Life cannot touch you.
Not really.
They cannot destroy you.
Whatever is happening,
Comfortable or uncomfortable.
You are much bigger than changing events.
But why,
Why JOTI?
Why that?
Why is it directed at them?
What is directed?
The friend saying that mean words.
Why you?
Because you can hold it.
Because you're big enough.
That's why.
If you,
If it was really beyond your means,
Life would not suggest it for you to experience.
That's first rule of nature.
Yes,
Anything life throws at you,
It's because you are big enough to hold it and experience it full heartedly.
Don't persuade yourself otherwise.
That's an illusion.
Okay.
So we meet again on Tuesday evening.
If you're interested in a more intimate setting,
Setting,
Contact us and we'll let you know exactly how.
And we'll see you again next Saturday,
