This meditation eases you into your day with grounding exercises that direct you to your senses to be grateful for the blessings we take advantage of every day. Starting with some light movement in the body, you are then directed to focus on and thank your sight, ears, mouth, and nose. Set yourself up for a good day full of intention, love, presence, and peace.

Good morning,

My dear friend,

And welcome to this new day full of endless possibilities.

If you are just waking up,

Start by opening your eyes,

Rolling your wrists,

Stretching your neck from side to side,

Twisting your hips,

And if you are already awake,

Go ahead and do that where you're seated.

Roll your shoulders and get settled.

Slowly close your eyes and feel the weight of your eyelids resting.

Find stillness in a comfortable position and take a deep breath in.

Inhale through the nose,

Down the throat to the belly.

Fill up the belly.

Let it fill in your chest.

Hold at the top and then exhale slowly out your mouth.

Take another deep breath in.

Hold at the top and then exhale slowly out your mouth.

Embrace the stillness of this morning.

Sit momentarily and try to listen to the noises around you.

Take in this peaceful environment.

Accept this peace into your heart and into your mind.

What does the air feel like on your skin?

What is your breath like?

Is it shallow?

Is it deep and calm?

Place your hand on your heart.

Can you feel your heartbeat?

You have been blessed with this new day to begin again.

Thank your body and your heart for carrying you throughout the day,

Every day,

For as many years,

Days,

Hours,

Minutes,

And seconds you've existed on this earth.

Put your hand on your forehead and thank your mind for all of the problems it solves every day,

From the littlest things to the bigger things that we face in life.

Give your mind all of the credit and love that it deserves and say,

I know you do the best you can and I thank you.

Thank you,

Mind,

For all of your creativity,

All of the people you care and think about throughout the day,

And for thinking and caring about yourself.

Rub your hands together and create some heat and friction.

Keep rubbing and rubbing.

And now put your hands over your eyes.

Feel the heat.

And if you are blessed with sight,

Thank your eyes for all it has seen throughout the years,

The beautiful sky,

The colors,

The nature,

Someone you love and being able to look into their eyes.

Take your hands and rub them together and place them over your mouth,

One hand on top of another.

If you have the blessing of a voice,

Thank your voice for all that it does for you each and every day to express who you are,

What you want,

What you think.

And ask that anything that comes out of your mouth today is kind and loving.

Take your hands and rub them together.

Rub them faster,

Create some heat,

And place them over your ears.

If you have the blessing to hear today,

Thank your ears for allowing you to listen to this meditation,

To listen intently to what others say to you throughout the day.

If it is loving and kind what you hear,

Thank those messages.

And if it is not,

Detach and let them go.

Protect your ears from any bad energy because today is going to be a good day.

Take your hands and rub them together,

Build that heat and friction,

And then place one hand on your nose and the other hand on top.

If you have the blessing of smell,

Thank your nose for all it does to smell delicious food,

Your favorite scents of your loved ones,

Flowers,

Candles,

And perfume.

And then rest your hands next to you.

Today is a new day full of blessings.

Miracles are around every corner if we just look.

I challenge you to look for a heart-shaped object today.

It could be in the clouds,

The leaves,

Maybe a tattoo on someone.

Look for a heart-shaped object and you will find it.

And let this resemble that you can seek anything you desire and you will always find what you look for.

You are powerful,

You are capable,

And go out today and make it the best day you've lived yet.

Embrace each moment and be thankful.

Take a deep inhale through the nose,

Fill the stomach,

Chest,

Hold at the top,

And then exhale with a big sigh.

You are loved.
