Hello my dear friend and welcome into this space.
I'm Brittany and I will be spending this time with you here today.
Let's ground in by doing three sets of alms.
Aum Pay attention to how that feels being present in this way in your body.
Today we are going to take a journey within ourselves in letting love in.
We tend to look outside of ourselves for this love.
We want to feel loved by our friends,
Our family,
Our partners,
Our co-workers,
When in reality the love we seek is already inside of us.
We are going to do a few cycles of breaths where we breathe in on the count of four,
Hold for the count of four,
Exhale for the count of four,
And hold for the count of four.
This is called box breathing.
Exhale the air that is in your lungs currently to begin.
Now inhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Inhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Inhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four,
Exhale two,
Three,
Four,
Hold two,
Three,
Four.
Go ahead and start to breathe normally.
Now that we have oxygenated our system,
Let's begin.
Let's start by visiting your inner child.
Go to that young version of yourself as far back as you can remember,
Maybe two,
Three,
Or four,
Five years old.
Once you find this version of yourself,
Envision everything about this moment you are picturing.
What do you look like?
What environment are you in?
Who are you around?
What are you doing?
Greet this inner child version of yourself.
Say hello.
Give yourself a hug.
What does it feel like to be with this version of yourself?
What does it feel like to be with this version of yourself again?
This beautiful,
Innocent,
Little child.
Do something fun with this version of yourself.
What did you enjoy to do at this age?
And do that together.
How does it feel having fun with yourself at this age?
Watching yourself laugh and smile.
What love is coming up within you for this version of yourself?
Do you look at yourself at this age like you would any other child?
Is there more affection,
Less affection,
The same?
Thank this version of yourself for spending time with you and say goodbye.
Give yourself a big hug.
Really embrace this version of yourself.
Give your inner child a thank you for all it has given you in this interaction.
Now let's fast forward to your older child self,
Maybe 8,
9,
10 years old.
Picture yourself at this age.
What do you look like?
What are you doing?
What is the environment in that you are visiting yourself at?
Go up to this version of yourself and introduce yourself.
How do you respond?
How does it feel to be with yourself at this age?
Engage in the activity that you are doing at this age.
What are you both doing together?
How does it feel?
Look at the details of yourself at this age.
Your hair,
Your eyes,
Your height,
Your clothes.
What do you want to tell yourself at this age?
What did you really need to hear?
Thank yourself at this age for your time together and give yourself a hug.
Really embrace this version of you and say goodbye.
Now let's fast forward to the pre-childhood age.
Now let's fast forward to the preteen version of yourself.
13,
14,
15.
What are you doing at this age in this memory?
What comes to mind?
What do you look like?
What do you look like?
Where are you at?
Approach this version of yourself and say hello.
Give yourself a big hug.
Engage in your favorite activity together at this age.
What does it feel like to spend this time with yourself?
What did you need to hear at this age?
What do you want to say to yourself?
Thank this version of yourself for this time together.
Give yourself a big embrace and say goodbye.
Now let's fast forward to your late teenage years,
18,
19 years old.
Say hello.
What are you doing?
Where are you at?
Where are you at?
What is your favorite hobby?
Observe yourself in this environment.
Really admire everything that you are at this age.
What is your favorite thing about yourself at this time?
Go up to this version of yourself if you haven't yet.
Give yourself a big hug.
Say hello.
What do you look like?
How does it feel to be with yourself at this age again?
Is there anything that you need to hear from yourself at this moment?
What do you want to say?
Thank yourself for this time together and say goodbye.
Give yourself a big hug.
How did it feel visiting yourself at that age?
Now fast forward to the age you are today.
Look at yourself as if you were looking at yourself from a bird's eye view.
What do you look like?
What are you doing?
How does it feel to be with you in this moment?
How does it feel to be with you in this moment?
Is there any similarities for who you are today as you were at any of those ages you visited?
Can you feel the inner child,
The inner teen within?
What would the younger versions of yourself want to tell you today?
Channel them in and spend some time with them.
I'll give you the next two minutes to visit with your younger child,
Younger teen and see if there's anything that they would like to say.
I'm going to ring the bell and I will ring it again at the end of two minutes.
Slowly welcome back.
How was it spending those two minutes with the younger versions of yourself?
Is there anything that you learned or felt?
Anything that you may have forgotten about yourself that you now remember?
Is there something from these experiences that you can keep with you?
Now let's think of the wonderful human being you are today.
What do you love about yourself most?
What is your favorite quality about you?
When you think of you as a person,
As a whole,
What comes to mind?
Do you see the beauty in your heart,
In your spirit,
In your existence?
Be in that beauty of all that you are.
You have overcome so many hard things.
You have learned so many valuable lessons.
You have become everything that you are supposed to be.
You don't need fixing.
You don't need changing.
You need loving from yourself.
Anytime I feel alone and empty,
That is a sign that I need to spend some time with myself.
I need to come back to me.
Take your arms and hug yourself.
Cross them over your torso and give yourself a big hug.
Tell yourself,
I love you.
I love you so much.
What is something that you are going to do for yourself to show yourself how much you love you?
What do you really need right now that you can give yourself?
It can be a self-care activity.
It can be a compliment.
It can be a nap.
It can be a purchase.
What do you want to give yourself?
What do you want to give yourself?
We are now going to do a few rounds of those box breaths.
And the count of four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Inhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Exhale,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Hold,
Two,
Three,
Four.
And now go ahead and start to breathe normally.
We are now going to do three sets of the alms.
Go ahead and join me.
Aum.
Take a moment to witness how you feel at the end of this meditation than how you did at the beginning of this meditation.
I hope you can feel the fullness and love of your being and everything that you deserve.
Take this love with you and keep it for yourself as a gift.
You don't have to share anything you don't want.
You don't have to share anything you don't need.
You don't have to share anything you don't want with anyone you don't need to.
You deserve this love and relationship with you.
Namaste.
