Welcome to the art of relaxation.
This 30-minute session is designed to get your body into a parasympathetic nervous system response which will get you deeply relaxed so you can begin to truly recover and rejuvenate and reap the benefits of being your true magnetic self.
This is your time so make sure that there are no distractions and that you won't be disturbed during the session.
And then get completely comfortable.
I suggest that you lay down on your back with a pillow and a blanket.
If you tend to feel stiffness in the lower back from laying down,
I advise that you use a big pillow or a cushion under your knees.
This will alleviate the tension and allow your lower back to fully relax.
Make sure that you are comfortable so take your time here.
Make adjustments to your position until it feels just right.
Shoulders are relaxed and pulled down away from your ears.
Hips and legs are relaxed allowing your feet to gently flop out to the sides.
Your tongue is gently resting at the roof of your mouth and keep a slight gap between your upper and bottom teeth to make sure that your jaw isn't clenched.
The muscles in your forehead are letting go and relaxing.
The muscles in your eyebrows are relaxing and gently close your eyes.
And gently close your eyes.
From here on,
I invite you to stay completely still for the entirety of the session.
Simply relax and listen to the instructions of my voice.
A lot of times in life,
More is accomplished by taking a step back and fully relaxing into your being.
We become more magnetic and vibrant,
More authentic.
The law of attraction states that you attract what you think and what you feel.
When we're too busy running around chasing after the results,
We tend to instead push them further away.
I'm sure you've had your own experiences that relates to this.
You don't catch butterflies by hysterically running around in the garden.
Instead,
Sit down in the sunshine and relax into your being and watch them come to you.
Let's take a few deep breaths here together.
So wherever you are,
Exhale all the air in your lungs,
Emptying them completely,
And then calmly inhale through your nose,
Filling the belly,
Filling the chest,
All the way up to your throat,
And then let go completely.
And again,
Gently in through your nose,
Belly is rising,
Chest is rising,
And let it all out.
One last time,
Gently in,
Belly rises,
Chest rises,
And let it all out.
Wonderful.
Allow your breath to return to normal as we get accustomed to the stillness.
In this stillness,
See if you can use your awareness to follow your breath.
As it enters and leaves your body,
We are not interfering or forcing the breath,
Just simply observe it and follow it.
Just as if you were watching the waves on your favorite beach.
As we slow down the pace of the breathing,
Your heart rate follows.
And when the heart rate slows down,
Stress and anxiety melt away.
To sink even deeper into relaxation,
Let's take a few more breaths together,
Where the inhalation will last to the count of four and the exhalation will last to the count of four.
So wherever you are,
Exhale through your nose completely,
And then inhale gently for 1,
2,
3,
4,
And exhale 4,
3,
2,
1,
And inhale for 1,
2,
3,
4,
Exhale 4,
3,
2,
1,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
And exhale 4,
3,
2,
1,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
And exhale 4,
3,
2,
1,
Last one,
Inhale 1,
2,
3,
4,
And exhale 4,
3,
2,
1.
Good job,
Allow your breath to return to normal.
By this time,
Your mind has become more quiet and more peaceful.
To a mind that's still,
The whole universe surrenders.
So let's use this stillness to explore the vastness behind your closed eyes.
Concentrate on this warm,
Dark space that extends as far as the eyes can see.
Whatever you see is the manifesting state of your subconscious mind.
Continue your awareness of this space.
Now,
Imagine yourself in a park in the early morning.
The sun has not risen and the park is deserted.
The sun has not risen and the park is deserted,
Except for yourself.
It's a beautiful park,
Calm and peaceful.
Walk across the springy grass.
Listen to the birds whistle and call as they welcome in the new day.
There are gardens of flowers,
Roses,
Yellow,
Pink,
Red,
Purple.
Smell their fragrance and see the early morning dew drops on their petals.
Nearby the rose garden is a fish pond.
Goldfish swim in and out amongst the water lilies.
See their graceful movements.
You walk between trees,
Beautiful,
Mighty trees.
Bare trees and trees with leaves.
Wide spreading trees and tall,
Stately trees.
There is a clearing between the trees.
And in the clearing is a small temple with an aura of light around it.
Go to the door and open it.
It is cool and dim inside.
On the walls there are pictures of great saints.
You sit down on the floor.
You close your eyes and you become still.
A sense of deep peace and harmony envelops you.
As the sounds outside fade into the distance.
Stay here for some time and enjoy the peaceful stillness.
Now relax all effort.
Now relax all effort and draw your mind outside.
Become aware of your breathing.
Become aware of the natural breath.
Effortless,
Automatic and peaceful breathing.
From here I want you to count your breathing down from 27 like this.
Inhale,
27,
Belly rises.
Exhale,
27,
Belly falls.
Inhale,
26,
Belly rises.
Exhale,
26,
Belly falls.
Inhale,
25,
Belly rises.
Exhale,
25,
Belly falls.
Inhale,
24,
Belly rises.
Exhale,
24,
Belly falls.
Inhale,
23,
Belly rises.
Exhale,
23,
Belly falls.
Continue like this until you reach one.
If you lose your count,
Gently start over at 27.
Bring your awareness back into the room.
Visualize the room around you.
Visualize the room around you.
Become aware of your surroundings.
Feel the meeting points between your body and the surface you are laying on.
Lie quietly here for some time and keep your eyes closed.
When you feel ready,
Gently start moving your body again.
But take your time here.
Do not hurry.
