Let's do a short self-love exercise about our intention to be happy.
You cannot pour from an empty cup.
We want to be happy first to build our relationships.
If you are in a safe spot,
You can do it with your eyes closed,
But it is also okay to have them open.
In loving-kindness practice,
You are not inviting in something from outside yourself.
You are tuning into the capacity for care and love that is already present in your heart.
Begin by recognizing your desire to be happy.
Find this natural wish for ease and comfort for yourself.
Try saying to yourself,
Either out loud or in your head silently,
Yes,
I want to be happy.
Now as I offer these next phrases,
Repeat them and say them slowly after me.
May I be happy.
Again.
May I be happy.
May I be healthy.
Again.
May I be healthy.
May I be safe.
Again.
May I be safe.
May I be at ease.
Again.
May I be at ease.
Think about these phrases throughout the day with positive energy.
They are simple but can have a positive impact on you.
If you had your eyes closed,
Slowly come back to the environment.
Thank you for joining me today.
Stay present,
Stay mindful,
And always choose love.
Take care my friend.
Remember,
You deserve happiness.
