Incorporating gratitude into our bedtime routine can help us release negative emotions or experiences from the day. By appreciating the positive aspects of our lives, we can shift our perspective and create a more peaceful mindset before falling asleep. Sleep gratitude meditation can also help us be mindful and present in the moment, reducing anxiety and promoting relaxation. Reflecting on things we are grateful for before bedtime can help us calm the mind and body, telling ourselves that everything will be okay and allowing us to sleep soundly. We will take time to think about things you are grateful for before leaving for bed. Image by Pexels from Pixabay Music: "Looking Deep Inside" composed by Music Of Wisdom

Today we are going to focus on sleep gratitude meditation.

It involves taking a few moments before falling asleep to reflect on what we are grateful for in our lives.

This can help us fully relax into sleep,

Leading to a more restful and rejuvenating night's rest.

To start this practice,

I invite you to be in any posture you like,

Such as lying down or sitting up straight.

Bring forth a thought of something you're grateful for,

Something that you truly appreciate.

Maybe it's a person in your life,

Maybe it was the weather today,

Or a pet or an animal that you love.

It could be the fact that you're alive,

Or as simple as the meal you had before bed.

Bringing our awareness to those things that we're grateful for,

The little things that we appreciate.

Perhaps you have soft sheets in your bed.

Maybe you appreciate how quiet the room is,

Where you are right now,

Or that you have a place to sleep.

Maybe you appreciate that you have this time for yourself to relax,

To wind down,

To be able to find comfort in this moment with feelings of appreciation,

Warmth,

Safety,

And ease in the body.

Take some time to think of at least one thing you are grateful for today before winding down.

I will give you time to reflect.

Appreciating each breath,

Each inhale and exhale this breath that keeps us alive.

Relaxing the belly with each breath,

Each beautiful breath.

Feeling thankful for this moment of ease,

Comfort,

And safety.

As we breathe and relax,

We feel comfortable in our bodies and appreciate this moment of ease and well-being.

Letting go of any tightness and inviting a sense of warm appreciation and kind awareness of our breath and body.

Take care my friend and sleep well.
