Now if your eyes are not already closed,
Close them gently.
Many people go days without thinking about their breath,
But it keeps us alive.
Your breath has been there for you since the beginning,
Fitting each moment exactly as it needs.
The breath never asks questions and it never judges you.
It simply signals the body to be calm,
Allowing for great healing of all kinds to take place.
Let's honor our breath now and all that it gives us by taking five significant and purposeful breaths.
One fully inhale expands your belly and chest as much as possible.
Hold it for a moment and exhale,
Feeling a wave of relaxation sweep over you.
Two,
A large inhale,
Filling your entire breathing system with fresh oxygen.
Hold it and exhale,
Noticing again the wave of relaxation gently sweeping over you.
Your third inhale,
Very deeply,
So that you are brimming with air.
Then take a moment at the top to soak in the life force we call oxygen and exhale,
Noticing how your body relaxes in different areas without any effort from you.
Take a complete fourth inhale,
Feeling these breaths purifying your entire body.
Hold it for a moment,
Then exhale,
Not having to do anything.
Notice how you feel.
And now the last one,
A full and beautiful breath coming in.
Hold it,
Feeling invigorated by this task,
And exhale,
Allowing that wave of relaxation to sweep over you again.
Just take note of how you are feeling at this very moment.
You now have an abundance of oxygen.
This is truly how we are created to feel.
Breathing deeply and fully is an expression of self-compassion.

Let your breath be natural now.
And notice how abundance feels.
Begin noticing how the very top of your head feels now.
Let your focus move down to your eyes.
Just notice how your eyes feel and ask them to relax.
Any small eye movements you notice allow you to feel calm.
Notice how the back of your head feels against the surface that it is touching.
How heavy does your head feel right now?
It could be the ground,
Pillow,
Or back of the chair,
Or even the air if not rested against anything.
Just let yourself feel.
Let your focus move to your nose,
Feeling the slight sensations of the air moving in and then out with your breath.
Imagine being filled with natural,
Relaxing,
And healing musical waves when you breathe in and when you breathe out.
Imagine your body feeling each of these waves in deeply relaxed.
Now focus on your ears.
Notice how they feel and what the music they hear around you.
Try to hear every beat,
Every single noise.
When sounds come into your ears,
They act as little waves of relaxation,
Taking you even deeper.
Notice them as little dancing notes coming around you to create relaxation.
Notice how soothing this music that Sarah created is.
From here forward,

All other sounds passing through only take you deeper into a state of healing.
Now focus on your mouth.
How does it feel?
And what do you notice?
Perhaps put your lips slightly apart.
Move your tongue around in your mouth and feel your teeth.
Move your focus to your neck and shoulders.
And if there is any tension along the way,
Ask it to be released.
Surrender to meditation and music so you can relax as much as possible.
This is your time for self-care.
Move your attention slowly,
Going down each arm to each fingertip like little musical notes flowing through them.
Feel the energy going through them.
What are your fingertips touching right now?
Perhaps your clothes or the ground or feeling the air around you.
Feel yourself in the present moment.
Feel the sensations on your fingertips.
Allow your focus to go to your chest.
Relax in this area in your upper back.
And if you notice any tension,
Let it be released nicely.
Now imagine you're focusing on your heart.
And feel it beating strongly,
Supporting you.
Relax your heart.
Notice how good it feels to do so.
And now focus on your lungs.
Feel them gently expanding and contracting with your breath.
Delivering oxygen to your body.
Allow your focus to move through your vital organs and digestive system.
Just notice your belly and observe it digesting effortlessly for you.
Now notice your lower back and how it presses against the surface you are on.
And if you feel any tension,
Say,
Please relax.
I'll give you a moment to sit and relax in this music and truly relax with your breath.
Now focus on your pelvis and hips and notice any sensations there.
This will take you deeper into a state of relaxation which heals you.
Allow your focus to move down each leg now,
Slowly relaxing those as well.
Your legs have taken many places over the years and you deserve to relax fully.
This incredible wave of relaxation moves over your knees and lower legs.
All the way to your feet and the tip of each toe.
You are doing so well,
Taking this time for self-care and surrendering your body to this meditation practice and music.
Keep going as we give your mind and body a little more time to relax.

Now we are going to take our focus back up the same way we came,
But this time imagine you are slowly pulling these musical waves.
Music can be a deeply healing substance.
Imagine the music waves you are listening to coming in through your toes and into your feet.
They go up your legs,
Passing over your knees and up into your pelvis and hips.
These beautiful sound waves fill your digestive system and belly,
Your vital organs and your lungs.
These beneficial musical waves profoundly heal you.
They fill your whole heart and you notice how happy you become with this music inside you.
The waves travel across your shoulders and down each arm to your fingertips.
These waves are moving up your neck now,
Mending you as they go.
They blanket your mouth,
Ears,
Nose and eyes.
They instantly fill every tiny space in your brain,
Encompassing your mind and healing it.
They move to the top of your head where we began,
Enveloping you in a curative experience.
Notice how completely relaxed your entire body feels right now.
