I'm Susie from Unplugged,
And today we're going to be doing affirmations.
Affirmations are just words or sentences that you silently say to yourself to help you shift and feel a certain way.
So let's do some affirmations.
Let's begin by closing our eyes.
So let's take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and just releasing and exhaling through the mouth.
And just do that a few times silently on your own.
Dropping your shoulders,
Relaxing your face,
And settling in.
And sometimes when we're feeling anxiety,
It's because we're thinking about something that could possibly happen in the future,
But has not happened yet.
So this is an affirmation to stop anxiety.
So on the inhale,
Just gently and slowly repeat to yourself,
I am safe.
And then just exhaling.
I am safe.
I am safe.
And you're just going to do that a few more times.
Dropping I am safe,
Inhaling,
I trust.
I trust.
Just repeat that silently to yourself a few more times.
Releasing,
I trust.
And now inhaling,
I am enough.
Inhaling,
I am enough.
And just silently doing that on your own.
And now releasing the affirmation.
Let's just sit in stillness and silence,
Being fully present in our bodies.
And now taking a long,
Slow,
Deep breath in through the nose and out through the mouth,
Letting it go.
When you're ready,
You can begin to wiggle your fingers,
Wiggle your toes,
And gently opening your eyes.
