Hi,

I'm Suzy from Unplugged Meditation,

And today is going to be a great day.

Now,

I don't know if it's going to be a great day.

You don't either.

But if you start your day saying something positive like that,

You are more likely to have a better day than if you start your day watching the news or checking your email or Instagram.

So we are going to do a meditation that I learned from a book called Tiny Habits.

The author's name is B.

J.

Fogg,

And it's a practice he learned from a woman in Maui.

It's called the Maui Practice.

Basically,

What you do first thing in the morning is before you do anything else,

Place your feet on the ground and say silently to yourself,

Today is going to be a great day.

Now,

I'm going to guide you through the experience,

And then you'll see what unfolds.

So let's begin by closing our eyes.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through the nose,

And an audible exhale out through the mouth.

Just going to do that a couple more times.

Now,

Silently say to yourself,

Today is going to be a great day.

Again,

Today is going to be a great day.

Today is going to be a great day.

And next,

Ask yourself,

What could go right today?

What could go right today?

What could be your favorite part of today?

Today is going to be a great day.

Say it one more time,

Whether you mean it or not.

Today is going to be a great day.

And when you're ready,

You can wiggle your fingers and your toes.

Take a long,

Slow,

Deep breath in through the nose.

Let everything go.

When you're ready,

You can open your eyes and have a great day.
