This meditation is designed to support anyone standing at the edge of a transition, whatever form that ending takes. It guides you through a steady unwinding of the year or chapter you are closing, helping you recognise what shaped you, what can be released, and what is ready to be carried forward. The practice offers a clear, grounding space to acknowledge completion without rushing past it. It helps you meet endings with honesty, ease and a quiet sense of renewal, so you can step into what comes next with a centred mind and an open heart.

Welcome,

I'm so glad you're here.

Today we're going to do something really special together.

We're going to create space to honour an ending,

To acknowledge a completion.

Whether you're here because a year is closing,

Or a chapter of your life is coming to an end,

Or something you've been holding is finally ready to be released,

You're in the right place.

Endings are sacred.

They're not just about what's finishing,

They're about everything that happened along the way.

And our culture doesn't always give us permission to pause and truly honour these transitions.

So that's what we're going to do together,

Gently and lovingly.

We'll move through this practice in stages.

First we'll settle and arrive fully in this moment,

Then we'll reflect on what this time has brought you,

The gifts and the challenges.

We'll practice letting go of what's ready to be released,

And finally we'll open ourselves gently to what's emerging.

There's no rush,

I'll guide you every step of the way.

So let's begin.

Find yourself in a comfortable position,

Whether sitting or lying down.

Allow your body to settle,

To land,

Like you're finally coming home after a long journey.

Gently close your eyes,

Or soften your gaze downward,

And let's take a full,

Deep breath in together,

And release it with a sigh.

Beautiful.

And again,

Breathing in,

And letting it all go.

Good,

You're here,

You're present,

And that's enough.

Begin by bringing your awareness to your breath.

Notice how each breath has its own natural ending.

The inhale rises and peaks,

And then releases.

Nothing forced,

Nothing held,

Just a gentle letting go again and again.

Your breath has been practicing endings your entire life,

Thousands upon thousands of small completions,

Each one making space for what comes next.

Now if you feel ready,

Invite this chapter,

This time that is closing,

To come to mind.

You don't need to grasp at details or analyze anything,

Just a gentle acknowledgement,

This has been.

Notice what arises,

Perhaps memories surface,

Perhaps feelings,

Or just a quality,

A texture,

A color,

Whatever comes,

Let it be here,

There's room for all of it.

I invite you to offer gratitude,

Not for perfection,

But for the wholeness of what was,

For the learning,

For the growth that happened even in difficulty,

For the moments of unexpected joy,

For your own resilience in simply moving through it all.

What do you want to thank this chapter for,

Even its challenges may have brought gifts you couldn't see at first.

Silently or aloud,

You might say,

Thank you,

Thank you for teaching me,

Thank you for shaping me.

And now bring your awareness to what you're ready to release,

What no longer serves,

What burden can you set down,

What story,

What pain,

What regret are you willing to leave behind as this chapter closes.

Imagine yourself holding these things gently in your hands,

Not with force or rejection,

But with compassion.

They were part of your journey,

And now you can let them go.

On your next exhale,

Imagine releasing them,

Watching them dissolve like morning mist.

You are not abandoning anything,

You are simply allowing completion.

Breathe in space,

Breathe out release,

Breathe in lightness,

Breathe out what is finished.

Feel the spaciousness this creates,

The opening.

You are not empty,

You are clear.

Like a room that has been lovingly tended,

You are ready.

Place one hand on your heart,

Feel its steady rhythm.

This same heart that has carried you through everything is still here,

Still beating,

Still open.

And from this place of openness,

Notice what wants to emerge,

What quality,

What intention,

What whisper of possibility do you sense on the horizon.

You don't need to know the details,

You don't need a plan,

Just sense the invitation of what's coming,

The gentle pull towards your next becoming.

Perhaps it's more peace,

More courage,

More authenticity,

More joy,

More rest.

Listen for what your deepest self is calling forward.

And now,

Like writing a quiet promise to yourself,

Name this intention.

Let it settle into your heart,

Not as pressure or demand,

But as a loving direction,

A star to walk toward.

And now with that intention named,

Silently or aloud,

Say I am open to and name your intention.

I am ready for and name your intention.

And as you exhale,

Feel yourself already beginning to embody it.

You are standing at the threshold now,

Behind you a chapter completed with grace,

Before you,

Space filled with possibility,

And here,

Right here in this moment,

You are whole.

Begin to deepen your breath,

Feeling the ground beneath you,

The air around you,

The life moving through you.

Wiggle your fingers and toes gently.

Roll your shoulders.

You have closed one door with love,

And in doing so,

You have opened another.

May you walk through it with trust,

With courage,

And with the deep knowing that you carry everything you need within you.

Thank you for sharing this space.

Thank you for honoring this ending.

May you be peaceful.

May you be free.

May you step forward with grace.
