In this quick and easy practice,

I'll give you tips on setting and sealing intentions for your meditations,

Affirmations,

Yoga,

Or any wellness practice.

You can even use a simple practice when you wake in the morning to help you start your day.

I like to begin any wellness practice by setting an intention because I believe it helps us define what we want to gain during our practice.

It also helps us root our practice and purpose.

I like to think of intention setting as the mindful part of any wellness practice.

Once you learn how to set an intention,

Take a minute to do so for all your practices and see how it helps elevate your overall wellness.

So let's get started.

Let's go over some basic steps for setting and sealing intentions.

You can do this with your eyes opened or closed.

Your intention can be whatever you want it to be.

It can be a word,

A sentence,

A phrase,

A quote,

Or simply a feeling of being present in the moment.

You can speak your intention to yourself or out loud,

Whichever is fitting for your environment.

After setting your intention,

Inhale deeply.

At the top of the inhale,

Hold your breath for just a second.

Swallow as if you're taking a small sip of water to seal in your intention.

Now take a long,

Slow exhale to release any energy that does not serve you in this moment.

Take another deep breath.

Inhale and connect with the breath inside the breath.

Now exhale.

Now that you have learned how to set and seal in your intention,

I invite you to incorporate this into your meditations for a deeper,

Richer,

More mindful practice.

Be well.
