This is Rashid Zahidi and thank you for spending this moment with me on this meditation about embracing your emotions.
It's a meditation for emotional wellness.
Find a comfortable position,
Either sitting or lying down,
And close your eyes.
Begin by taking a few deep breaths,
Allowing yourself to settle into this moment.
Bring your awareness to your body,
Noticing any areas of tension or discomfort.
With each exhale,
Imagine releasing this tension,
Letting it melt away into the ground.
Now shift your focus to your emotions.
Notice what you're feeling without judgment or resistance.
Allow yourself to fully experience these emotions,
Acknowledging their presence.
As you continue to breathe deeply,
Imagine a warm,
Comforting light surrounding you.
This light represents acceptance and compassion for whatever you're feeling.
Visualize yourself sitting in a peaceful garden,
Surrounded by nature's beauty.
Each emotion you're experiencing is like a flower in this garden,
Unique,
Beautiful,
And deserving of your attention.
With each breath,
Imagine yourself gently plucking these emotional flowers and holding them gently in your hands.
Take a moment to observe them,
Allowing yourself to fully feel and process each emotion.
Now imagine a stream flowing through the garden.
As you release each emotional flower into the stream,
Watch as it floats away,
Carried by the gentle current.
Continue this process,
Allowing yourself to release all the emotions you've been holding on to.
Feel a sense of lightness and peace wash over you as you let go.
Take a few more deep breaths.
Feel in a sense of calm and clarity.
Know that it's okay to feel whatever you're feeling,
And that by processing your emotions,
You're taking an important step towards emotional wellness.
When you're ready,
Slowly open your eyes,
Bringing yourself back to the present moment.
Take a moment to thank yourself for this time of self-care and reflection.
