Stars shining.
Breeze blowing.
Waves washing away your troubles.
Bathe in the light of the moon.
Absorb her light as you sit upon the shore.
The wind tossels your hair as mist from the sea kisses your cheeks.
Breathe in the salty air.
Feel this medicine fill your belly.
Allow the breath to move through you,
Filling your chest and shoulders.
Hold your breath at the top and exhale using ujjayi breath,
The sound of the waves carried on your breath.
Inhale and exhale.
Time passes and the stars travel through the sky as the night carries on.
You watch as Luna dances across the clear sky.
The cool night air allows small delicate drops of dew to collect on the leaves of the trees overhead.
As the moon dips lower in the sky,
Light begins to peek out on the horizon.
The Sun begins to slowly rise,
Illuminating the sea.
You feel the warmth of the Sun on your skin as the shoreline becomes more visible.
The branches of the trees overhead are in full bloom.
The bright tropical flowers are the most beautiful you've ever seen.
As you reach out to caress the petals,
A butterfly lands on the flower.
You watch as the butterfly drinks up the nectar and then silently floats away,
Continuing its journey.
The moon and the Sun share the sky.
In a ritual dance of cosmic balance,
Luna bows to the Sun as she dips below the horizon,
Curtsying as the night turns into day.
Warm sunshine radiates out over the sea.
You sit down in the warm sand and allow the Sun to kiss your cheeks.
You greet the morning with a smile and begin your practice,
Slowly fluttering the eyes open,
Becoming aware of your surroundings,
Gently wiggling fingers and toes,
Beginning to find motion.
