Hello everyone.
Welcome to another meditation.
This practice is to help us accept regress,
And release our emotions.
Allowing us to feel lighter and clearer as we move forward into our day,
Or for some of us,
Ending our day.
Let's start with three deep breaths.
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhaling however it feels best for you.
Again,
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhaling however feels best for you.
Again.
Inhaling through your nose.
And exhaling however feels best for you.
As we begin.
I want you to follow along.
With these couple of questions without feeling a need to answer them right now.
Simply allow it to ignite your mind.
For a later time.
What is?
A positive emotion.
Maybe happiness.
Excitement.
Joy.
Now,
What is a negative?
Emotion.
Maybe anger.
Sadness.
Frustration.
What makes them positive or negative?
Nothing.
Except for what we do with them.
When we acknowledge it and we accept it.
What happens then.
It begins to pass.
So when you look at.
.
.
Emotions with that perspective.
There really are no negative or positive emotions.
When we resist what we're feeling.
We then suppress.
And after a while.
.
.
.
Suppression of emotions that need and want to be expressed take a certain toll on us.
So we're gonna take ourselves to the beach.
And I want us to watch.
The waves.
Noticing the way they come in.
And the way they weave back out.
Coming and going,
Each wave different than the other.
We don't try to capture the wave or get stuck under them.
We simply enjoy each one while it's here.
Now what if we can look at our emotions as if they were waves?
Our emotions and ways are quite similar.
Once we observe and accept what we're feeling.
The lighter and calmer.
We feel.
Not just right now.
But as we continue to experience,
Accept,
And express each feeling and emotion that,
Like waves,
Are inevitable.
Observing,
Allowing,
Softening,
Releasing.
Now,
I want you to imagine.
Each wave that comes.
As an emotion.
Maybe sadness.
Maybe frustration.
Uncertainty.
Maybe even excitement.
And instead of pushing it away,
Allow yourself to simply observe it.
Accepted.
Feel where it lives in your body.
And remind yourself this feeling is allowed.
This feeling can exist.
And I can exist with it.
Without judging myself or this emotion.
Once we accept and acknowledge the emotion that we're feeling.
We accept and acknowledge ourselves.
Once we stop judging.
The emotion or feeling.
We stop judging ourselves.
You don't have to become the waves.
There's no need to hold on to it.
No need to force it to leave.
Some waves may splash you.
And that's okay.
You'll drown.
Like the oceans,
Waves,
Emotions move too.
I want you to take a nice deep breath.
As you slowly step away from the water.
As you're moving further away from the waves.
The drier and lighter you begin to feel.
You are here.
And you're okay.
And now.
You're healing.
You can continue to sit or lie in the dry sand with the warm sun.
Or you are welcome to return to your physical self.
Feeling calmer.
Feeling lighter.
Feeling much clearer.
As we close out this practice,
Remember that like everything else,
Emotions too will always come and will always go.
Let's learn to enjoy them as best as we can.
Thank yourself.
Taking the time.
For being here.
And thank you all.
Namaskar.
