Welcome to Mind Your Mindful with Brianna.
Thank you for being here today,
For taking this time for yourself,
For carving out this small bit of space
to breathe,
To set intention,
And to reset the energy from within.
Finding a comfortable place to settle into,
A seated position like sukhasana,
Perhaps on your bed or the floor,
Or even your office chair or the couch.
Allowing the hands to fall to the side,
Or placing them on the lap facing up or down.
Taking a deep energizing and buoyant breath in,
And releasing the full extension of the breath outward.
Taking a breath in,
Could you set an intention for this meditative reset?
A word or a phrase that resonates with your needs presently?
Perhaps it's simply,
I embrace peace,
Or I embrace the stillness of this moment.
Feeling the breath flow in and out of the lungs,
Through the chest and belly.
Taking another deep breath inward,
Breathing into the belly,
And releasing any tension.
Landing here now,
Within the peace of this moment,
Allow the tensions to melt away,
To melt into the breath.
Releasing any burdens,
Letting go of an inner critic,
Leaning into the stillness of this moment,
The space you have created for yourself.
Allow each muscle to relax into gravity,
To settle into this space of stillness,
Imagining the root of your seat reaching out to hold you here,
To cradle your being.
Sensing the breath moving through you,
Could you welcome two sips of air in through the nose,
Exhaling softly and gently,
Two loving breaths into the nose,
Releasing out through the mouth,
And again,
And then softening back into the natural flow of breath.
Could you imagine a wave of relaxation
moving through the whole body,
With the breathing space from around you touching the top of the feet,
All the way up into the crown of the head,
The whole front side of the body.
On the next breath,
Imagining this wave of relaxation
being cascaded down the back of the skull all the way to the heels,
Melting tensions down through the back side of the body.
As you take a few more deep,
Sweet breaths,
Begin to slowly move your thumbs over the pads of the fingers,
Gently becoming aware of the fingers and hands.
Allow your body to become aware of the physical space.
Taking a deep breath in,
Draw your palms together,
Touching each of the fingertips and thumbs,
Allowing this mudra of Anjali
to touch either the top of the head or the heart,
Taking a moment to pause and call back the intention for this practice,
Allowing it to guide you into the space and time ahead.
Take one last deep breath in,
Letting it go,
Bowing your head to your heart,
Giving yourself gratitude for being here,
Taking this time to nourish yourself,
I wish you a beautiful day ahead into the journey of you.
Thank you.
